  1. I don't remember their name, all I can remember of the group is that they would add weird little effects to the subtitles whenever a character would shout out the name of their attack. I can get the name of it later once I have the chance though.
  2. Noted. God Bless Oda.
That could have been any of the ones from the last decade (Kaizoku-Fansubs, the short lived Geru Sama, etc), they all were kind of doing that.
Kaizoku went on for like 200 episodes.

IMO, the best one was Yibis-Subs, but they disbanded a few years ago, and iirc, some of them now work on Some-Stuffs (best JoJo fansubbers).

Shit, they were pretty much short lived (not as bad as Geru) when you factor in the current count now

Lol it completely slipped my mind that there is such a thing as multiple fansub groups. I guess as long as you find good fansubs to carry you through a good portion of the anime then you should be fine. I still stand by my statement of switching to the manga at fishman island but you can decide what you wanna do from there.
The amount of chapters may seem daunting but believe me when I say that it’s worth it. Go at your own pace and enjoy the experience.

Oh fuck this chapter was hype.

Gonna go off on a limb here and say that the Kappa and that one mysterious prisoner are the same person. Also I'm wondering if Zoro will also learn that Haki technique considering that gramps said it was utilized by wano swordsmen.

They are confirmed to be one and the same, the prisoner told Raizo that his name was Kawamatsu a few chapters ago.

The new info is that he was a kappa and that he protected Hiyori for a minute.

I have a feeling that Kawamatsu will be the one to train Luffy properly, if you look closely, Hyou's punch still had the old hardening haki on it.

I need to start paying more attention, I completely missed those details!

Its possible that kawamatsu could be the one to help Luffy refine his technique yes, but I feel its also possible that Luffy could just go on mastering the technique on his own once he has the basic knowledge on how to do it. His power spike after katakuri has been incredible to say the least.

Today is Weevil's mother Bakkin's birthday! If you ask me, she should be part of the Shichibukai instead of Weevil.
better to look like a half-senile old lady being made to tag along for the ride than to get on the government's radar for any reason

Of course, with the World Government it can make very little difference, but at least she has a potential out with any Marines that aren't Akainu or similar in his mentality.

@neural why do you keep mocking me with every chapter that includes Luffy? I defined what I meant by "showing off" when he did it way back before he was apprehended by Kaidou.

The only thing being shown off is the constant reminders of the period where Rayleigh trained him.

In order for Luffy to "show off" he needs to be around commoners and civilians. I told you, my definition of "Luffy showing off" means "To be arrogant for the sake of his own kindness."

If he didn't beat Holdem down and bring that town the clean food, the operation would be so different.

As Joy Boy put it today, Law is getting very disappointed now that we're in the climax of his overall plan.

Would the new chapter secrets be a good conciliatory gift?

By that logic Luffy was showing off by
helping Hyogoro not get killed while training his armament haki

Today is former Navy Captain Morgan's birthday.

Seriously. We need him and especially Kuro returned.

Can you imagine how Kuro could be now? With some sort of Panther Zoan. He'd be so badass.

I know his motives in the arc, and that he was sick of piracy, but the pirate era has changed now.

And in current news, I wanted to try enjoy Wano, but I just can't get this arcs pacing. I've always particularly had trouble with the pacing of the manga. Its hard to follow real action scenes when its just flat panels. Everything is more fluid and emotional to me in the anime, particularly with the English dub. But there was a reason I've been watching WCI in the Subbed version. This thread was only created during WCI, which I was thoroughly enjoying for so many reasons.

I wasn't able to sperg about my thoughts on Dressrosa. I've already given my silly thoughts on Donquixote Rosinante and I don't need to go on here. But another point where I was disappointed bad was when the Tontatta Dwarves, Ussop and Robin were at the Toy factory to make Sugar pass out.

The Tontatta Dwarves walked right up to Sugar, told her fucking everything they were planning to do to her, wasted ten seconds or so for her to retaliate, because of course she was going to do so.

Alright, sperging over, and back to Wano. The problem I have with the arcs pacing is how there is so much freaking off-screening! I thought Zoro and Hiyori were at the Bridge fighting what became two adversaries, and now they are at some cottage. And Bepo and Laws crew? I thought they were up hiding in the mountains.

Oh thank God for Joy Boy being there to decipher Manga panels for me.

Jesus Christ, did you not read chapter 938 (the one before the break)?

No filler flashbacks in the anime last night, but they did add a few more minutes of Dragon and Co. arriving at Ivankov's Kingdom.

Oh man, only 3 episodes or so to go until Lord Im's first appearance.

They added more scenes with Pinkbeard and the town before the Revolutionaries kicked his ass.
