You forgot the spoiler tags btw.

Also, I don't think the flashbacks are a bad thing, they're short and I honestly prefer them to watching Luffy lift kettlebells for 15-30 chapters.

Also, the Reverie arc is gonna officially start in episode #878, airing 31st March 2019. Here's the key art:

Chapter is out early yo!

Edit:

- Well @TrippinKahlua will be happy to know that the Rayleigh flashback is one panel. sigh

- I hope Luffy keeps Nidai Kitetsu, it seems very prominent in almost all the covers published so far, whether it's the volume or individual magazine covers.

- Well, Big Mom is obsessed with the same food that Queen is hoarding right now.. this will be an interesting fight.

- Zoro's fight is really good, and I can't wait for it to get animated. It also looks like he's gonna get a power-up soon.

Edit 2: Chapter secrets is also out:

I've told you before what I mean by "showing off" @neural, Luffy did not of that here. He had no chance to do so.

  • Aaaaaaand Wano continues to be the master of off-screening. Now Big Mom is talking about this type of bean candy that she wants to eat. And suddenly Chopper seems to be regretting his decision to bring Linlin along.
  • Aaaaaaaand Komurasaki is unceremoniously still alive. Come on Editors. Quit with all the offscreening!
  • Aaaaaaaaand names continue with their inconsistencies. Last week, Zoro's adversary was told to be a reference to Ben K. So I thought, okay this is Zoro Vs Ben K. Again though, the name is swapped.

Today is the birthday of Enel's little buddy, Lt. Spacey.

Today's the birthday of Sapi, the fish monger who sold Sanji the blue-finned elephant tuna at Loguetown.

So @neural @Mr. 0 think World Seeker is gonna be worth it?

I read Artur's first review and he seemed to give it an A-.

Anyway, off work real soon. And I am gonna force myself to cry watching tonight's episode.

I think it will probably be a B- game tbh, but I didn't play it so don't take that as gospel.

The game certainly looks amazing, and I hear good things about the soundtrack, the part I am unsure of is the gameplay. Specifically the missions.

I will be probably picking it up on sale later this year.

It would have been funny to me if Marguerite and Thatch had the same birthday.

Today is Tsuru's birthday! Here's her character song; it's really soothing:

I like how it was telegraphed how Sengoku knew (thanks to Corazon) just what kind of person Doflamingo was that he sent Tsuru after his group instead of one of the 3 future Admirals (the Wash-Wash Fruit can wash the evil out of people).

Birthdays birthdays birthdays.

I need some serious meat. Like Luffy showing off with an entire stack of unrealistic meat slabs and watch another Big Mom Flashback (because there IS a lot more to it. Like her 20s, and is Streusen actually the father of Perospero and tons more unanswered Big Mom questions) or see if Kamawatsu is really an Otter Mink or good god something new and different and not just off-screening exposition and name dropping after name drop.

Coming for you, Pokemon. $90 Billion ain't shit.
One Piece has been sailing the Grand Line for years now, and it seems its pirates nabbed a trove of treasure this year. After all, the Straw Hats can say they helped kicked The Lord of the Rings to the curb, and they’ve got the receipts to prove it.

According to recent reports, fans were informed One Piece hit a new franchise milestone. The series surpassed J.R.R. Tolkein’s iconic fantasy franchise in total gross, and anime fans are relishing in the victory.

Right now, The Lord of the Rings franchise is said to have earned an estimated $19.9 billion since its creation in 1937. One Piece has gone above that total as the series has earned just over $20 billion total since it was made in 1997.

If you are curious as to how this takeover took place, fans can thank the One Piece manga. The weekly series has earned a whopping $8.87 billion to date with its merchandise sales and video games coming in close behind. As for The Lord of the Rings, it has hefty grosses pulling in with book sales at $9.13 billion, but the figures dip after the franchise’s films are accounted for.

With One Piece in the lead, the series has a new target on the horizon it could very well surpass. Toy Story is next on the list as the Disney project has earned a bit more than One Piece, and then the shonen title would have to fight off franchises like Fist of the North Star, Cars, Barbie, and Dragon Ball. However, it is hard to see One Piece becoming a threat to the top pick of the world’s highest-grossing media franchises. The number one spot goes to Pokemon as the anime-gaming franchise has grossed about $90 billion since its 1996 debut.

So, are you surprised to see how much money One Piece has made? Let me know in the comments or hit me up on Twitter @MeganPetersCB to talk all things comics and anime!

Eiichiro Oda's One Piece first began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997. It has since been collected into over 80 volumes, and has been a critical and commercial success worldwide with many of the volumes breaking printing records in Japan. The manga has even set a Guinness World Record for the most copies published for the same comic book by a single author, and is the best-selling manga series worldwide with over 430 million copies sold. The series still ranked number one in manga sales in 2018, which surprised fans of major new entries.

I'll hold off judgement on that until I actually play it, after the price drop

And speaking of younger Big Mom, someone made fan art I found on Reddit some time ago:

Who's the one in the Blue? The Green one is Bakkin, if I assume correctly.
