One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

So, believe it or not, there were no birthdays yesterday. There is a birthday today, though. It's Tom's birthday!
 
Page nine gives me the impression that it's Scratchmen Apoo in that cell. He was part of the alliance with Hawkins and Kidd and we ain't seen him yet...I think.

Mihawk killed a it's time for another one of my crackpot theories about a one piece character. Dracule Mihawk didn't just pick a random ass spooky island to live on; it's his home country. He didn't just up and do it for shits and giggles, though...his imfamous black blade is a cursed blade, something akin to a blood sword. Perhaps it was locked away in a vault or some rare treasure found on an island but whatever the reason Mihawk grabbed that sword and found himself a slave to it; 'the curse' driving him to slaughter an entire kingdom before the bloodlust had be slate. The blade empowers it's user with each life claimed by it...but certains lives are far more...succulent at appeasing it's hungef while lesser one do little at all.
Over time Mihawk has learned to manage the blade to some degree. Given that he had a bounty there's a strong chance he,was killing any and everyone one at first but once he became a Warlord of the Sea pirates quickly became the blades primary sustenance.
To go deeper into this the Mihawk just can't throw the black blade away; he wants to destroy it. So he hunts down powerful opponents from all over and even lets some stronger opponents live under the idea that they'll get strong enough to vanquish the blade.

He's not in prison, he was reporting to Kaido when the giant elephant sunk Jack's ship. Meaning that he also kissed Kaido's ring along with Hawkins. Kidd and Luffy remain to be the only supernovas who didn't bow down to anyone, as befitting of their status as Conqueror's Haki users.

Also, Apoo's laughter style is already defined as "Apapapapapapa".
 
So has anyone gotten themselves One Piece: World Seeker? Bro's installing it right now, but he brought it to my attention that it's an open world game on this "Jail Island" with a story Oda was heavily involved with. I don't look up game reviews much anymore so I'm not sure what to expect.

I'm planning to get it on sale, but I think it looks good.

Reviews have been mixed though.

Honestly, I'm still waiting to figure out what the guys Devil Fruit is. I've heard theories of it being something scorpion-based, but given that we just saw a scorpion Gifter I'm not sure on that one. I'm thinking another ancient- maybe a defensive one like an Ankylosaurus or a Stegosaurus?

I'm really wondering if Queen's fruit will be a zoan at all. So far there has been a few mentions of his "mechanics" and he was shown working with gears and bolts in his first appearance, not to mention he has a mechanical arm. That being said, Oda really seems to be setting up the beasts pirates to stick to their title, so I think it might be a gorilla type zoan fruit or some other humanoid form. Maybe we'll finally see another mythical zoan.

The truth of the matter is that he spends far too much time on this creation of his. I really don't blame him, with how deep it's lore is and how devoted us fans are to it. But he has had multiple health scares before, and he still smokes if I remember right.

When was the last time Oda left Japan? He needs to go on a vacation, and I think it'd be good for the Straw Hats to go too.

I remember years ago when he was forced by Jump (of all people lol) to take a vacation and he went on a honeymoon with his wife...where he proceeded to spend most of his time drawing. I don't know how toxic being addicted to your passion can ultimately be, but I can't imagine Oda realizes just how much he's wearing himself down. If Bakuman is any indication (featuring an Oda-expy that the writers blankly state is basically just Oda), there's a sense that even if One Piece was finished he would find something else that's just as grand and filled with love as his previous work was.

It's commendable, to be sure, but man I get worried about that man.

In the death game that’s going on in the mine, Luffy once again remember Rayleigh’s teaching, his Haki using skills will improve.

The saimurai that stole Shusui said it’s a black blade, that seem to remind Zoro of something.

Suddenly, a voice calling for help, it comes from Otoko and a geisha who’s protecting her.

It’s the man slayer Kamazo, he’s an assassin send by Orochi to go after Otoko.

Against a enemy like this, Zoro use Rengoku Oni-giri.

NO BREAK NEXT WEEK

The bigger problem seems to be "Mr King of the Pirates" is having his trillionth flashback about Rayleigh.

Odd should have just done an arc at Ruskaina.... these dumb flashbacks are just reminding me of the Nakama-less time period.
