I've been slowly watching those "Episode of..." and other specials that Toei's been releasing since like I think 2012, and I must say that I like the reminders (and also allows me to watch those episodes in Japanese, to see how it played out compared to the dub). The slow build up to the climaxes of the arcs is what makes them just all that damn awesome, but hitting the pivotal points still helps. With that said, sometimes the upgraded animation doesn't look all that great, like it was pretty wonky in "Episode of Luffy: Hand Island Adventure", but it was pretty good-looking in "Episode of Merry" and "Nami", for instance. It makes me a little excited to see how they'll handle the Skypeia special, though that mention of there being an anime-only character keeps me from being completely hyped.

Kind of curious to know which of those specials is considered the favorite/best, though.

Probably 3D2Y.

It's filler, and the final fight is extremely well animated, at least for my tastes. But in general I don't like having those specials because they take staff from the main show.

- Marco was Whitebeard's Chopper all along!?
- Edward Weevil might actually be WB's son.
- Geisha Robin is gooooooorgeous

Is it me or is Oda putting even more attention to detail than usual? Every panel in this chapter looks beatiful

To be fair, I feel like Japanese artists (or just Asian artists in general) put a lot of attention and detail to anything that's revolving around their culture to bring out its beauty. That could be one of the reasons why Oda was so excited to get to Wano because it meant one: showing off beautiful Japanese architecture and landscapes (despite Wano totally not being real-life feudal Japan yo), and two: showing off his drawing skills, putting emphasis on how much the cartoony style contrasts with something more realistic.

I'm leaning more toward the latter tbh, considering Oda lives and breathes to draw.

'Kay something just recently came to my attention that I want to throw up here as well for other opinions. Credit to this goes to Tekking101, he said in his "Plots of Reverie" video that he Tweeted about it and he hadn't noticed other people talking about it, so just passing this along, maybe even adding a couple of ideas to expand on it.

Alright, so back in chapter 905, right as everyone was gathering into the lift to head up to Mariejois, it cuts to the reporters for a brief point as they're snapping pictures.

It doesn't look inconspicuous, it's just a bunch of reporters. What're you getting at, this is nothing more than a tinfoil hat theory.

Pay attention to that spot there in the middle. No, not the busty girl in the background (though she looks pretty cute), the space itself. Notice something?

That's just a camera flash, what's so important about it?

Well, where's the camera it's attached to? You can't see it because it's invisible.

It's Absalom.

Absalom has to be at Reverie. And this is where the theory really comes to play (and also sounds too stupid, but...).

Anything that goes down at Reverie (that's not Im-sama himself), and you know some shit's going down especially with the Revolutionary Army on base and the worry/possibility of Vivi and/or Cobra being assassinated, even though the World Government is going to do everything in its power to not let the rest of the world know about it, it's going to get out thanks to Absalom. Unless he gets caught since Mariejois looks to be a very difficult place to infiltrate, Absalom is going to be the unsung hero.

...son of a bitch.

It makes sense considering
he's the one who bailed Moria out of trouble before he got killed by Doflamingo and the Pacifistas after the Whitebeard War, and he's the one who leaked the pirate alliance between Kid, Apoo, and Hawkins.

The question is how would he even get the information out? I think CP0 would make Morgans's heart stop if he went on a BIG NEWS bender with information they didn't want getting leaked.

I was a bit blind sighted on Friday when the Chapter came out, I thought we'd get more of the Reverie.

Im is a character that is really intriguing me.

I won't lie, I'm a liiiiittle bit disappointed that Wano's not going to be fully the Mosshair Hats' (whatever group they'd be called lmao) full adventure with the honestly-quick arrival of Luffy and the others. Like I was kinda hoping we'd get just them for a while, but oh well, more separations I guess lol. At least I'm like super pleased with what the waters look like, like I just knew there were going to be shout-outs to famous Edo paintings to be had in this arc. I like that Luffy wrangled the koi to get them up that waterfall lol, like why does Nami have to freak out so much, you'd think she'd be used to Luffy's shenanigans by now.

I also had the ugly laughter when the octopus made its way on board. It having the kabuki cry is fucking genius; my brother thinks it'd be even more hilarious if that octopus was a sushi chef or fisherman.

Today's the birthday of Lucky Roux and Namur.

You can have big tits and a waist though lol

Yeah, but this is Oda we're talking about:

Reader: Nice to meet you. This is sudden, but... please teach us a tip or two on how to draw that hawt hourglass body all ONE PIECE female characters seem to have! Make sure you don't forget to include them airbags ♡
P.N. If there's no bread, let them eat roses~

Oda: Yes. Hello. It's drawing time at the SBS segment. I would suggest that you think of a woman's proportions as "three circles, one X". Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be leaving.
(I only draw this kind of body, so I get a lot of complaint postcards from my female audience. Let's all stay strong and keep on living life.)

I just wanted everyone to know the quicker Big Mom comes back, the happier I will be.

Today is Kamakiri's birthday.
