I have been wondering the exact same thing, the only people we've seen Reversi'ed were non devil fruit users and the only time its failed are both fruit users. While on the topic, Chopper un-Reversi-ing (ReReversing? IDK) might not be just a him thing? Have we seen other fruit users fighting specifically Reversi'ed people? I cant think of any off the top of my head the closest we get is Brook v Gunko and Bigmom/Kaido/Whitebeard vs Saturn/Imu but those are not Domi Reversi, IDK maybe devilfruits in general fuck with Reversi. If im wrong rate me dumb and autistic. EDIT: In my sperging forgot to mention Im wondering if theres a connection with the tech hearts of the god knights and law swapping peoples hearts to swap their bodies/minds.
not just ivankov i think king cobra was hinting at it as well when he learned imus name. also if you look at imus form currently it looks like normally he is covered up by cape that almost looks like a flag. (could it be he was a pirate with joyboy and he betrayed him for power?) i think his non awakened form will make him look way older and more fitting of the shadowy blob figure. now as far as his reveal being early. i am starting to take it as proof that blackbeards the final boss and not imu. imu coughing up blood just because he warped over to elbaph really has me thinking after all of this is over he is going to go back and see blackbeard sitting there going "i told you i would be back"
so i think the reason you cant eat two fruits is because most people simply cant handle that amount of power its too much and it overwhelms their body. however there are special situations where you can eat two devil fruits and its fine. for example i think blackbeard is able to eat two devil fruits because of his darkness powers. he also might just have multiple hearts. i dont think domi reversi is imu putting his devil inside you but rather him bringing out someones dark side or their inner devil. the reason it did not work on luffy is because luffy has no evil in his heart and he has no desire for power or treasure like a normal pirate.

I think that’s going to be strictly endgame. Last I checked, Blackbeard wanted to have Hachinosu be part of the WG, so going after Imu would probably be the next step, and then the final showdown with Luffy.
I thought it was because Whitebeard just died. If I remember correctly, that incident led to the discovery that one could steal someone's DF power by killing them.
I think it is good that Imu is a handsome devil. It shows Oda has range in his designs. He can do cartoony, realistic AND beautiful. Also Imu should sound childish. Even his line about others wanting to hurt him screams toddler tantrum. I think he could sound like Jack Doherty.
I don't think Imu is the creator of the other fruits, Vegapunk knew a large chunk of it all so I imagine that if Imu was the source of Devil Fruits then he would have been more direct about their source when speaking about them.
I don’t think it was ever established how Blackbeard took the devil fruit, and the move was to show Blackbeard being able to do it.
Also, he has the Akuma no Mi rather than the Akuma Akuma no Mi. So my guess is Imu has the first devil fruit ever, and then the rest is endgame stuff because that’s how we get the Nika fruit being eaten by Luffy.
Ididn't suggest Imu created the fruits, merely that his fruit created the other fruits.
im thinking there was some big event in the past that created all the devil fruits even imus but imus fruit is special because it contains the soul of an actual devil where as the nika fruit is just the collective hopes and dreams of everyone who believed in nika as well as joyboy.
