I know people like @Incecticyder are very low IQ and not smart enough to understand English (He’s ESL). I’ll stop baiting him.
I know you are baiting. I just do not like the fact that some people might actually turn the "common knowledge" into accepted fact. In case you do not understand what that means, it means that lies or headcanons are repeated so often that they become known by people as fact. You hear enough people say that one chapter confirmed something and it is believed even if it is wrong.
This entire flashback is pretty poorly written. A lot of shit is handwaved or not expanded upon, basically all the Giants look like faggots who’d get rolled by an admiral, Harald’s story is more rushed than Oden (which was fucking long), and in general is fucked.
Yes, they probably would be defeated by an Admiral. Elbaf still has better military than every other country. They are the strongest nation, not the strongest army/fleet. The strongest army/fleet is the Marines. See what I mean. I do not care about your "I am only pretending to be retarded" bait. Your SERIOUS thoughts and opinions are actually, factually misinformed and brought appon by misunderstandings/misreading the script. You trying to be smart sound retarded. The WG did not invade not because they did not think their Admirals would win. They did not invade because getting the giants to join willingly is infinitely more helpful than coercing them into begrudging slavery. What happens now on Elbaf is a last resort.
The entire shit with Big Mom being there decades before Rocks and doing shit for the navy has been ignored or forgotten. Mother Caramel is why Giant John joined the Navy. That got retconned. I could excuse some of the bullshit if Mother Caramel or one of her homies was being Grima Wormtongue, but this a rushed and poorly written flashback.
OR, you know, Carmel groomed John to want to be a Marine and got him to go willingly. Are you seriously telling me that a trafficker of her vast experience would be incapable of grooming a child and selling him to the Marines? She got paid by the WG and sold a sob story about how it always was his dream.
How do you not even sit down and think about what was written for half a second? The Giants still think that Carmel was a kind nun. The only ones who knew her true nature are the Underworld and the Marines she was talking to. Why wouldn't the giants trust her word?
TLDR: I do not care about your baits. Your actual takes though are misinformed at best and stupid at worst.
NO BORDERS! NO WALLS! NO ELBAF AT ALL!
- King Harald, probably
The things Harald believes doesn't even make sense. Military power doesn't make a country strong? Explain the Marines and the Shichibukai. He sent some of his own people to join the Marines. Wano held the WG at bay for years thanks to the samurai (and steel blades folded 10,000 times or something). Which of the Kingdoms of the WG have given up their armies?
I would say that the closest would be Dressrosa but even then that is pushing it. They have an army and a warrior culture but they were strict pacifists even then. They could still kick ass and they were willing to when threatened. Harald's dream is unrealistic to the point Oda might actually be revealing what he thinks about those who advocate for that stuff IRL. I do not want to pretend to know his full political leanings lest I start sounding like I electrocute dogs.
At no point during his tenure as the Chief Simp of the WG does he wonder "Why is that evil wizard-looking fella completely cloaked in shadows sitting on the Empty Throne?" "What does this magic marker friendship tattoo actually do?" "Why does he want me to graffiti witchcraft in my throne room?"
Imu's power look like actual magic. I assume he thought the tattoo was for identification (flash it and they know you are a brotha) as opposed to granting you power. He looked really surprised when he felt strength surging into him. I suppose that the joy of having Elbaf as a member prevented him from questioning further until much later when he found out about the possession.
Oden might have been stupid for trusting Orochi to keep his word, but Harald is so retarded he qualifies for Somali citizenship.
It was different. Oden had little choice. A rematch with Kaidou was not going to happen and while he probably knew better, he hoped against hope that Orochi would have some decency in him. In the end, Oden knew that he would die but wanted a death like Roger's. One that would inspire the people of Wano. He, like Yasuie, knew that a death like that would embarrass Orochi more than it would help him and sow the seeds of hope and rebellion.
Harald was an idiot. I do believe he meant well but he was too naïve. He spent his youth seeing humans as something to either crush or protect but never as something that could hurt him in ways that no one thought possible. If he had been born in a society that knew the dangers of the silver-tongued, he might have stood a chance. As it is now, he was destined to die a dog's death either as a thug or as an fool.
