Before doing the quote rounds and talking abour the chapter.
On Blackbeard's prowes. That he constantly gets his shit kicked in but manages to get the win is why I love him. Everything very much did NOT go according to keikaku with him. He has the shounen protagonist absurd durability but he's the bad guy. He's cunning but not to the point that everything was foreseen. He is powerful but has very much known defeat. And I imagine Oda never shows him or his guys properly fighting so he can go absolutely nuts when the fights happen.
I expect ol Teach to take a nika gigantic supreme haki fist to the gut, tank it with pure fucking grit and then deactivate the nika fruit only to proceed to smack him with an earthquake. Or if we are going all symbolism, Teach is the only one that can steal Luffy's freedom, the Gorosei couldn't do shit to Nika, but Teach should be very much able to shut it down.
As for how to reach the final island... i got this from a Theory tuber (yes, shame on me) but I like the idea that it's inside a gigantic fuck you whale. So that's why people don't just bump into it, nobody would expect the thing to be inside of a living creature under the sea. Make it hell to navigate into the whale/seaking/whatever and you have an adventure right there.
Excuse me motherfucker! I'll have you know our candy loving pet will have the biggest multiplier of the whole crew in his next bounty!
Backfill chapter. Really about explaining when and how Vegapunk concocted this whole "dead man's trigger" speech. Nothing worth commenting on.
Pretty much. Will be a nice capstone on rereads, but I lust for more details. It did kill my dream of Slim Shady and the moon being involved with Uranus though.
I like how all the people who assumed the Five Elders or at least Saint Saturn were going to be defeated by Luffy once again came out wrong. I mean there's still a possibility for Saint Saturn to be killed by Emet in some type of final self destruction move akin to that of Vegeta trying to take out Maji Buu in Dragon Ball, but so far this guy has shown zero battle fatigue from everything done to him by Luffy and only Joy Boy's imbued rope haki had any effect on him. Really great way for Oda to demonstrate that Luffy still has ways to go, especially when its outright stated of how massively powerful Joy Boy was with the comparison to Shank's conquerors haki.
The Gorosei didn't seem that dangerous, but they took NO fucking damage. So at a minimum there's probably a trick to getting them to stay down.
So, any predictions for Elbaf?
Joyboy flashback story from Saul and some elders. And a sidestory with Ussop bullshitting the giants into becoming his underlings. I don't expect shit to go to hell in Elbaf, I expect it to be a short stop like Zou. Oh, also, Sanji goes to giant jail for lusting after a 12 year old.
I'm a lot more interested on what will be happening at the same time. Caribou will definitely spill the beans about Poseidon and pluton to Teach and I expect him to act on that info. An update un Pudding would be nice and I'm still banking on Moria and Perona joining the true king of the pirates.
If York is supposed to be part of Vegapunk’s mind, shouldn’t she see that coming?
Too Greedy to think ahead that far.
I do like Vegapunk saying "Oh shit making a satellite of myself that is pure Greed was a mistake in retrospect"
What I found funnier is that they all assumed it was Lilith was the traitor. Turns out you can trust more your evil than your greed.
