One Piece with the animation it deserves will be pretty amazing. Studio Wit must be hyped to work on something that won't end up being a pile of trash at the end.

Speaking of Anime, I kind of Forgot that Bepo and Law completely escaped from Blackbeard..so Bepo is 100% insist that Law heads to Luffy for help getting revenge on Blackbeard.

I know this is anime filler, but there are times I really have to ponder how Blackbeard is going to be a challenge for Luffy as he is now. He's got the Dark Vortex thing but aside from that I just don't see it. Luffy could probably Toon Force his way out of it anyway.
We haven't seen Blackbeard actually fight, Bepo going supermode and getting one kick in isnt an indicator.

That's why it's hard to imagine. Every time we actually see him fight, he's getting his ass kicked. The only exceptions is him fighting Ace (even then he took a couple nasty hits) and with Whitebeard but he had his entire crew behind him to finish the old man off. Then his fights cut off and we're told how much ass he kicked and we see he's apparently very powerful. All his greatest feats happen when we can't see it.

Well we know from his fight with Kaido and the Elder stars that he isn't completely invulnerable while in Toon Form and presumably Teach is going to have awakened his fruits by the time he and Luffy have their showdown.

And we have seen what Whitebeard could do with his Fruit despite being Old and in poor enough health to need personal nurses so Whitebeard in the paramount war is Blackbeard's floor really.

Big thing with Blackbeard is he doesn't fight if he isn't sure he can win.

Jumping Ace (Logia type) with his devil fruit that negates fruit powers in a location set up to make things easier for him with his crew for backup. Similar situation with Law. Kill-stealing Whitebeard when he is near dead with his underlings on hand to back him up. These are Blackbeard fights.

Angry lava admiral on his way in with even slight backup? Fuck no guys, we out.

Blackbeard is an opposite to Luffy in many ways and and his plans are a clear part of that. He selected his own fruit carefully and similarly shopped around to get the right ones for his crew, even killing people who currently had them. The fights he gets into are the same. He's usually a low risk guy with the riskiest move he pulled being going for the Quake fruit and even then he thought Whitebeard was closer to death than he was when Blackbeard made his move.

That kind of assumes that Teach and Newgate were on the same physical level originally. A lot is made of Teach's stamina but he can man-handle other humans physically. Newgate was throwing giants.

Similarly while Teach knows what Newgate's capabilities were with the fruit so knows what it can do he has not had it as long so will not have the same degree of skill with it. I'd say what we saw in the paramount war is what is fair for Teach to be at by the time he butts heads with Luffy.

I kind of disagree with this because he went after Magellan, now he didnt win but he did well enough to get away and did enough damage to permanently cripple poison man enough to make Magellan step down.

Well its not hard to top dying old man, sure he held the title of strongest in the world but i think that might have been a title from his prime.

One does have to wonder what the plan was for the Blackbeard Impel Down raid. He didn't know Luffy was making a mess of the place. Just go in, muscle his way down and let the level 6ers loose before Magellan got off the can?

Same as hancock i think, use his warlord position to get in, and probably let the 6 and 7s help him.

Like without Luffy you would have Crocodile and Mr 1 for him to recruit

Fair, no Luffy means no lockdown so he could just use warlord privilege, if I recall the event correctly.

As risky as it was, you have to remember that he was working on a tight schedule. He burned the bridges with the WG after his stunt in Impel Down and he had been marked as public enemy No.1 for many powerfull players. Either he aquired the Quake fruit or he was just desserts for everyone else. For his endgame to work, he had to risk everything.

He went after Magellan partly because he had no choice if he wanted to recruit Level 6s (he might had been able to persuade Magellan to hand some over as Warlords can recruit prisoners but since there was a prison break, his words would fall on deaf ears) and partly because he underestimated an experienced Paramecia. Blackbeard might be cunning but he does not know everything.

Black Beard only fights battles he thinks he can win. He does have Burgess and others take risks for him, but anytime he tries to personally fight someone he ensures the odds are overwhelmingly in his favor.

Against the Heart Pirates he had 3(?) of his captains with him. Blackbeard lost on that, but he had three of his TOP GUYS with him. Anytime Black Beard makes a play he has some of his TOP GUYS with him. Burgess going after the Flame-Flame fruit was him letting Burgess try to get a potential weapon as a treat to Burgess.

the thing with blackbeard is that he is oddly durable and strong enough to have two devil fruits. we also do not know if he has the awakened version of either fruit. i suspect that it will seem like an easy win for luffy until blackbeard is forced to try. he is the exact opposite of luffy so i imagine he will find a way to take away luffys powers making him unable to do anything but haki.
