that image of joyboy reminds me of when shanks gave his hat to luffy for some reason. also speaking of joyboy i am starting to wonder if he is in a situation similar to vegapunk and kuma.

maybe he was never actually killed but split apart in some way so now there are just various parts of joyboy running around while the main one is stuck with imu but still alive. it could explain why imu was also effected by the haki

Considering the Elders seemed like they are Imu’s satalites. It really wouldn’t surprise me if Joy Boy isn’t still around and Imu is somehow an aspect.

You don’t spend an entire arc showing a person can be split into aspects, seemingly confirm the top brass in the world are also aspects of the guy running stuff if you aren’t building to something big.

Especially when Vegapunk is also the guy that is all ‘i can take aspects of things, split them up and put them in to other things’.

Imu very well could be Joy Boy’s York based on what Egghead has put on the table.

I didn't consider that, but I like that theory.

On a side note, I'm convinced that if Imu has a devil fruit at all instead of some absurd bullshit we haven't seen before, it's the water logia (and that's somehow why water is everyone else's weakness).

That’s what is so fun about Imu. When everything Oda seems to be setting up suggests that the truth about Imu and Joy Boy is some wild crazy stuff.

I can’t wait to see what Oda is cooking. Especially when it will likely also tie into Blackbeard.

If that’s the case, Joy Boy is Void Century Luffy, and Imu is Void Century Blackbeard, so “character, but….evil”.

They’re still not going anywhere with that, because you know it’s not the “FINAL arc”.
Of course they aren’t. And even then, Luffy most likely will not care.

I'm not going to jump to that conclusion when you can just assume that Imu reacted to feeling the presence of a dude he thought has been dead and gone for 700 years.
I really do think it’s Imu just reacting to a power of Joy Boy. Makes me think that Imu, Joy Boy, and the Gorosei are all of some power that’s been forgotten since the time Vegapunk spoke of, and the source of that power is the two sides’ respective treasures.

That being said, the Gorosei do know Luffy has has the fruit of Nika, which they’ve been trying to get for literal centuries, and they were pissed that Luffy’s new wanted poster has him in Gear 5 form.

This is stupid. Ichigo is a translator that moonlights as a superhero. Naruto became a warrior king. Deku became the a legendary hero amongst legendary heroes. Luffy conquered a few places. Not by punching the citizens but by befriending them. The poster knows nothing of what they are talking about.
Stop questioning the logic of the antagonistic 4chan post. Just agree with them when they says MHA bad and One Piece better than everyone else.

I am not questioning it, I am explaining so that everyone understands how bad it is so that we can all mock it more effectively. Like having aimbot on our hands so that we can direct the rotten fruits and vegetables into their faces better.

Agreed on Ichigo and Naruto who also ended up married to their respective big tit waifus and with a kid or 2.

But Deku was a wage cuck for 8 years, estranged from his friends "due to scheduling problems", with no girlfriend and with nobody giving a particular fuck about what he achieved outside of a bowl headed faggot. Only getting a final panel of "congrats, here is your iron man armor, you are allowed to be cool and have a social circle beyond teachers again" after that.

What a mean spirited ending for such a piece of shit series.
On a vacuum, it's definitely cool, but the anime goes waaay too overboard for my liking.

Honestly, it is my headcanon that we did not see Deku and Ochako marry purely to avoid a riot. They are propably married as it was one of the few canon ships. Also, he has been elevated to legend status as the guy who saved the entire world. Things are not ideal but having your dream job and everyone in the world singing your praises is hardly a bad deal. I think that in the eyes of some, anything less than a protagonist becoming a god king is "being a loser". You might not be satisfied with the ending (and that is fair) but Deku should be happy with his life. Things were not perfect, but with hard work and determination, he became the greatest hero in history and got to enjoy a peaceful life knowing that he made the world a better place.

And I mean come on! It is not like he is in some black company wishing for the Grim Reaper to take him or anything. He works for the prestigious institution he loves the most with coworkers that love him too, gets paid a great salary (propably), has a lot of freedom on the teaching methods and he inspires kids to be better just as he once was. He is happier than most people who call him a "wage cuck".

The manga being much more relatively grounded, where only now are we getting characters arbitrarily flying around, when the anime has pulled that for like fifteen years now, is really weird. The over-the-top movement and auras really do a disservice for the anime.
