Episode count for the OP remakes by arc. Most of them except Water 7 are cut in half.

While OP fortunately does not have a lot of filler, I'd say there are still several dozen episodes worth of it to cut from the new series. And, filler aside, there's also the matter of recap or special episodes, and extreme padding, like we've seen in Dressrosa, Wano and Egghead. A leaner, closer to 1-1 adaptation of the original material should be fun.

I’ll admit, I started REALLY following One Piece late in the game, but I know Dressrosa went on for ages.

Does One Piece have any other stuff where it’s like the old DBZ meme of “Says he’ll blow up the planet in five minutes. Takes twelve episodes.” ?

From what my memory can pull up right now, Wano was specially egregious towards the end; a character in the raid would take an action, and then we'd have half an hour of static reaction faces and exclamations from every character in the planet, and then the cycle repeated because the anime was catching up to the manga, and the buffer between them has to be kept to a minimum. Dressrosa's biggest (but not only) pacing problem was the repetition of the goddamn flashbacks, especially Rebecca's.

The thirty minutes from when Spandam accidentally orders the Buster Call and the first salvo is 11 episodes/12 chapters, though they’re also portraying events that happen concurrently.

While true, even in arcs themselves there's fillery moments since it's just to expand on how character goes from A to B. Like I'm currently reading Alabasta and you don't see how Chopper meets back up with Eyelashes like you do in the anime, which is something I needed to learn to rewire my brain for during reading. There's also the addition of letting Ace hang out with the Straw Hats in the desert for a while which was a good idea in the long-run.

Granted, I've never checked out One Pace to see how they did it, mainly because they hadn't finished up earlier arcs last I looked years ago. How many episodes total do they equal out to?

This is why people who celebrate One Piece not having any filler are retarded. I would kill for a decent filler arc or two if it would mean regular episodes would be faster paced and meatier.

Its a situation that's only going to get worse now that Oda is basically on a biweekly schedule.

It was the expansion of the colieseum battles(that got old) and extremely obvious padding with humor and clashes in scenes where characters are about to do something big(zoro clashes with fujitora, sanji stops doflamingo, sabo vs fujitora, usopp scares sugar and the big king Kong Gun stall).

100% agree. Even if not every arc would turn out to be G-8, it would make it so much easier to skip the filler if it would be contained in 5-6 episodes.

I’m really surprised they seemed to stop doing filler. I know it’s non canon and often bad but it honestly gave the world and characters time to breath and actually feel big in scope and scale.

Have to say though, it is kind of wholesome how he still loves his wife in the "put on dirty clothes and I will take you to pound town from dusk till dawn" way. Or how angry he was at Pre-Cure because his daughters liked it more than One Piece when they were little.

I’m waiting for the Wigger to show up again. You know it’ll happen, I’ll laugh my ass off if he realizes Luffy is someone important to him and does the shocked face again.

He's going to freak out epically at how Luffy was an actual god all along and that was the real reason why he (a lesser "god") got defeated and not because of just being super-duper lucky he could resist his abilities.

I’m waiting for their to be a Moon Goddess/ Moon Femboy (Jap’s have the Moon God be ambiguous leaning female) he serves to show up. I’m honestly going to guess it’ll be some Kaguya type bitch who’s the only one remaining who descended from the moon and is one of the original God’s who lived where the Celestial Dragons lived.

You mean the great Enel? How would he even show up at this point? And why?
