I'd love to see Kreig return, under Buggy's banner, and being a strong at-sea commander of ships that's completely fucking up the Marines. It's the one thing in One Piece that hasn't really been established, naval combat. Even something like Roderick in Berserk would be nice just for a chapter or two, Jinbe sort of showed that in Whole Cake, but not enough.

So... If you could choose between Oda making G8 canon and a return (that makes sense) of any forgotten villain from the east blue, what would you choose?
I'll go that extra mile and say I'd like for the other numbered ex-Baroque members to return, even if only to act more like cheerleaders for Buggy D. Clown Crocodile.

But G-8 totally needs to be considered canon.

I lightly criticized the live action series on Twitter/X and my notifications were swarmed with people defending it. I really don't get it. It looks fucking awful.

Netflix & Amazon have a known astro-turfing group & bots for times like these. I've witnessed this firsthand myself, they're known to be on places like Twitter & Reddit the most. It's also said they're even on 4chan, but this theory has a lot of salt in it.

That, & general fanboyism & shilling.

To be fair Neflix's Cowboy Bebop set the bar really fucking low. The 'is it good?' standard right now is: "Is it so embarassingly bad that it makes me ashamed to have ever watched the original?"

So far the answer is no.

...fuck

>The pirates are coming

I'd have taken "The romance dawn approaches!" better, but fucking normies wouldn't understand, amirite?
We've got a week before it airs, I'd wager we can come up with a worse header. I'll go first.
"Ya-yo, ya-yo"

How the fuck did they manage to make the Merry look so soulless???

The same way they made Buggy look like an absolute maniacal nut job instead of like the goofy, upwards failing, comic relief boob we know him to be. They half ass studied the source material and made a bunch of "creative changes" thinking it would make the show better. That or they actively hate Japan and want to make One Piece unappealing to those that have never watched it. Remember, this will be some people's first experience with One Piece.

I'm just relieved Netflix didn't go full Netflix on it. Like, there was some tard-wrangling on Oda & Toei's part.
Full Disclosure: Homie the Clown is based & kino & Netflix wishes it could do something like that. That, & Handi-Man.

I appreciate the use of the old poster tradition of "Throwing key characters and moments on the dang thing".
