While not the same, Jack the brought is a fishman devil fruit user who survived in the ocean for a length of time. This was when he was knocked off of Zou. Between the Luffy example from Arlong park and Jack, it could be theorized that while paralyzed by sea water, it has no affect on automatic body functions.
 
So we didn't get a scene change..at least yet. Cobra was apparently talking to the 5 Elders before they killed him.

been seeing some incredibly out yhere theories about who the 10 golden whatevers could be and hpw one really is reminding people of Shanks.

As far as Shanks playing Luffy like a fiddle sort of deal. I also read something about the last film revealing some shit that would mean Shanks is a super noble (I really hate like the films aren't canon but seem to have canon elements)

Honestly I thought that too

Now I don't THINK this is Shanks but honestly I could see how people could think that. the Cloak is very similar to what Shanks wears, and the hilt on the Sword also matches Shanks uses. however he is wearing the Sword at the wrong angle, and the Cloak isn't as long as what Shanks tends to wear. It's really close..but I think it is just Oda fucking with the readers.

Morley giving Kuma the big brother bear hug was equal parts impressive and heartwarming, especially considering how easily Kuma just bodied the pre-Time Skip Strawhats.

More on topic Alabaster's definitely down a king by the end of this. I don't think we are getting a "faked his death" outcome.

Bright side is Vivi no doubt has the letter so we'll find out what's in that a hundred or so chapters from now.

Kizaru referred to this as the "attempted murder of St. Charlos" once we left Wano and found out what the other two stories that came out during the Act 2 intermission were, so he's alive, maybe.

If we get Samurai Jack levels of Animation for Gear 5 Luffy vs Kaido it might end up being the high point of the series.

Re: Chapter : I am assuming that Cobra doesn't survive this and Sabo gets the blame after Sabo hears that "There was someone sitting on the Throne."
