Destroy ? Oh come on, the broader a public is, the more you can expect morons to be a significant part of it. But even if this american adaptation is working financialy, there is no way in the world it will destroy One Piece. Rejoice instead, we might have a new good dumpsterfire incoming. :smug:

Also last time I checked, the One Piece fandom is still infected a bit by fan obsessed with character-shipping, fan fic, fan theories , etc. Yeah, WHAT could possibly go wrong with those people if this adaptation casts the wrong person for their favorit character ?:story:

None of the films are canon. Strong World isn’t canon, only Shiki canon.

A little late for that theory mate

Chapter 1055 indicates Shanks is going into Wano after all, and the Cliffhanger of the Chapter seems to set up Luffy and Kid seeing him.
 
My favorite thing about the OP community is them insisting that there are too moving parts for OP to end in 3 years.

They really overestimate how long it takes to explain the underlying mysterious and unresolved questions.

Every theory needs to be tempered by the fact that One Piece is a Shonen manga.

Shanks is a mediator. He's the guy who walks into a tense situation and tries to calm everybody down. He did that with kid Luffy and the pirates in the first chapters of the manga. He did that in Marineford. And I'm guessing he tried to do that during the Reverie. Evil Shanks is a fun fan theory, but Oda is not going to throw out 30 years of characterization for a cheap twist.

We know who the bad guys are: Blackbeard and Im. We also know the two of them probably aren't teaming up. My best guess moving forward is that there won't be a single final battle, but several. First: Luffy fighting with, and earning the respect of, the Marines in the battle against Blackbeard (echos of God Valley). Second: teaming up with the Marines to prevent Im and the Elders from creating the next void century.

Shanks will most definitely die early on in the final battle. I think Sabo's going to get captured at some point. And Vegapunk will be very close with Im, probably a miniboss of some kind.
 
From what (very little) we know about Vegapunk, my guess is he's with the WG purely for the purposes of funding and free test subjects. A man of science, not a man of loyalty.

The Raid on Onigashima took 72 Chapters. I think 3 years is optimistic just from "Strawhat Crew vs Black Beard crew" 1 v 1 fights that will happen.

You could make them each have solo fights for 3 chapters and get it down within a year.

You give Shanks the same

You have a year for the final war and the build up to Shanks and Blackbeard.

The only reason it will take longer than 3 years is Oda filling pages with unrelated stuff because he finds it fun as he is very want to do. Not because there is lots of things to explain or whatever.

And considering the community started complaining about the length of the Oden flashback, i don’t think they want things that take lots of time to flesh out
 
What if the 3 years is just for them explaining what One Piece actually is, and the story continues for the final battle(s)

-Wano have existed since 800 years ago, but the original (and 3x bigger) Wano is flooded because the walls that kept them is filled up with rainwater (like some Cities Skyline shit)
-Robin said they only need one more Road Poneglyph to reach Laugh Tale
-Pluto is in Wano, but to unleash the weapon they have to open the border, which means destroying the actual walls that protected Wano
-Shanks can use Conqueror Haki to paralyze someone from miles away
-Looks like Uta and the Red movie is Canon, guess I really need to watch that movie smh

That's pretty much what we were told what the case was going to be when we were told the One Piece will be found in 5 years
 
Toki came from that big Wano then? Could she possibly have passed some extra info about Wano/Pluton through Oden's journal? It makes me think of that part during the raid where Momo read about something important on it, which required him to be alive. Maybe Oda was waiting for this reveal before elaborating on what was that.

Alright so I just finished the Arcs all the way to where Ace fights Blackbeard. I would like to apologize because Luffy had an adequate amount of meat in his pockets so I change it to 10/10.

The arcs also confirmed that Robin is indeed best waifu. Great friends, great mom, great devil fruit, great outfits, great personality, great height, very smart, and also expert ball crusher.
