Don't know if it was already posted here, but Brook's voice actor's wife wrote a poem about their cat. And then they asked Brook's voice actor to sing it. Oda was impressed enough to add Cat Viper in the story as inspiration. Don't know the lyrics, it's probably some goofy shit. But the song transmits some sort of sence of peace, so I enjoy it.

One Piece 1047 spoilers


Break next week with a chance of early spoilers (this means there'll be ofc a break the week. Basically, there's one chapter for the next two weeks but fan scans could drop either of the two weeks because Golden Week)

Chapter 1,047: "The capital's sky".

In the color spread, the Straw Hats are on the beach with dragon Momo

- we get a flashback in Oden burning castle, when Momo decided to travel to the future.


- Luffy uses "Gomu Gomu no Thunder"

- Kaido confirms Roger wasn't a devil fruit user. He also says that "abilities" are not necessary to dominate the world.

- Burning Orochi losses sea stone nail and transforms.

- Luffy creates a massive punch that's bigger than Onigashima's castle to attack Kaido

(Luffy talks to Momo and tells him to do something to protect Onigashima. Luffy then makes a gigantic fist which is bigger than Onigashima and prepares to attack Kaido. Luffy's attack is so big that it could destroy the entire island if not stopped.)

I lament there probably wont be an act 3 tragedy like so many were predicting, because this is the perfect segue for it.

The samurai willing to die if Kaido goes down while not knowing the fucking debris will take out the loved ones they think will come out the other side, Orochi catching a break and making a move to kill Hiyori, Momonosuke unable to replicate Kaido's ability, Luffy making a fist the size of what remains of the island and not caring about the consequences.

Getting myself hyped for Elbaf to where I'm perusing back through the thread, and remembered Oda's SBS in volume 97 saying Wano isn't even going to be the longest war. Which is wild given Wano is currently like 138 chapters long and is maybe ending in several weeks.

The hype for Wano was so huge that I think it might've accidentally eclipsed the real hype of what is to come, and watching Tekking's recent video on Elbaf and what that may actually mean moving forward is just--

That war can wait, just gimme Elbaf right now. Luffy is just the diversion, I'm so excited for God Usopp, you guys. Let's fucking go, shoot it straight into my eyeballs, he's my favorite Straw Hat and I'm all for it! Arise, my brave warrior of the sea!

I wonder if Elbaf will be a component of one gigantic final arc.
 
All these comments and none of you have noted Luffy had birds flying around his head at one point continuing the cartoon physics he is currently working on.

He legit grabbed lightning and threw it, and then used Lightning as a Gymnist bar. Little birds at this point is minor compared to using lightning as your personal stripping pole.

I’m essentially for Elbaf since it would serve as a continuation of Big Moms story, but I still maintain that if they do go, it’s for a reason beyond “Luffy wants to.”
