This series won't make it that far. It'll go to hell and then get cancelled 5ever like Cowboy Bebop.

Also I just heard the script for the first episode got leaked some time back. How did it not end up on a thread on KF? I thought autism would've covered that base.

EDIT: Scratch that, there's no way a live action adaptation would ever keep pace with the manga (even if they changed shit around) unless Oda supplied an outline with his original 5 year story plan.
 
I just wanna know if any (or all) of those actors are actual fans of One Piece like the main cast are, or are actually going out of their way to do their research into the series (something that John Cho didn't really care much about). That'll help alleviate the pain a bit.

EDIT: Uhhhh don't look up Aidan Scott's Instagram unless you want to jab your eyeballs out of their sockets. But uh... well, I guess I can at least say that you can tell he'll work as early Helmeppo just fine since he was a raging faggy douchebag living off of his daddy's money.

I'm pretty sure at the very least the Zoro's actor at the very least read One Piece since, you know he's Japanese

I think the one playing Nami was already a fan but I don't know about the others. I'm actually not too worried about the casting in general, but the writers and directors could very easily be shit. I have no idea how they're gonna make shonen fights look right in live action either. I don't expect a Cowboy Bebop level disaster but I'm not getting my hopes up for a "yeah it was okay" level adaption.

If they just copied the LA adaptation of Gintama, Kingdom, and the like, the action should be fine. But you know there's no way in hell Hollywood would research that deep

and nami is going to be forced to join not because she's a talented cartographer for her age, but because arlong's a minor-attracted fishman who deserves reparations and coco village will be racist if they interfere and don't act sympathetic
