He might have. I remember hearing something about his son and Fred Carter both taking more prominent roles in Chick Publications due to Chick's declining health and increasing reclusive behavior, but I cannot verify it fully. I'll look it up.

One Million Moms blasts Viacom for airing sexually explicit MTV music awards on children’s network​

The parents' advocacy group One Million Moms has launched a petition publicly rebuking Viacom for broadcasting the MTV Video Music Awards, with its sexually explicit content, on Nickelodeon, a channel designed for children. 1MM and its supporters are demanding that Viacom not allow the adult awards show to air on Nickelodeon again.

The conservative group blasted the media company in a statement against the content that included scantily clad performers and sexually suggestive choreography during a time when most children were still awake and watching television during primetime viewing.

“The sexually explicit content on this program is inappropriate for anyone — especially children,” 1MM said.

The VMAs aired last Tuesday, beginning with a live preshow followed by the main show. Performances featured barely-there costumes and highly sexualized choreography, including hip thrusting, air humping and twerking.

Meanwhile on the subject of numerous ongoing sex abuse investigation in multiple large religious organizations like Southern Baptists, crickets.

Funny you mention this, Janet Jackson later became more prudish by converting to Islam after she crashed her career at the SuperBowl. But if you check Cardi B. latest VMA compared to the "hot teacher" shown in Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher", I guess I'll be accused of fatphobia if I said then Cardi B and all the others women in the clip twerking need to lose some weight.

Still, I guess it was a desesperate move for Viacom to boost Nickelodeon ratings.
 
They claim Wicked is too gay, despite none of the characters being LGBT+. I guess having LGBT actors is too much for them now.
