We're virtually the same size as Texas in terms of land mass, and have a large enough population to be worth taxing. Politically, Alberta would be purple, meaning neither party would have reason to reject us, and we split geographically enough that we'd boost both parties consistently rather than being a political blob that shifts back and forth.

And our population, even without fillers from the rest of Canada, is young. We pay more into all national programs than we receive in service.
