i have a rational hatred for paypal purely because of their bullshit rules and how they hold money for 120 days without any chance of appeal. my only issue with it is that most all-in-one software like Stream Social Ninja or Streamlabs only have PayPal support when it comes down to showing TTS. i wouldn't have an issue with this if i used my real name with me streaming but since i have the issue of wanting to stay anonymous. this forces me to make a business paypal account, however, paypal requires me to file with the state that i legally own "Osama Bin Laden" as a business. im not going through government channels just to be able to laugh at retards on the Internet.I wouldn't trust paypal with holding the bag. A sudden surge of cash into your account and they'll lock it down for a few days due to "suspicious activity." If you must use it, set it to transfer payments money straight to your bank account. It'll take a day or two but that's better than looking at a bunch of frozen $$$ you might never touch again because something triggered their fraud system.
my next option is to use stripe, but use webhooks so whenever a person donates to my stream, you'll see it in chat. however, the issue with that is i need to figure out how to do it as an overlay rather than a dock so it's not stuck in chat. as of right now, if you donate, you'd only see the username and donation amount. if anyone else has a better solution that keeps my personal information private, i'll do it.
for now, you can donate but i wont see your message on stream
