Minimaps are client side and someone posted a MultiMC pack a few pages back that includes one.

That's not possible with just plugins, though there are some mods that add this feature. Plugins are server side only and can only change the game in small ways. They can't go so far as to add a new button to the client side GUI. The standard way of destroying unwanted items in Minecraft is to throw them into fire or lava.
