And according to Islam he was a morally perfect man, never to have done anything wrong in his life, and an example for all humanity. What he did was an okay thing to do. Ditto polygyny, cousin marriage, concubinage and slavery, sexual and otherwise. All still practiced, in some places widely, across the muslim world today. jeet food, are all right sometimes. I do know what you mean by the average jeet, but as a fan of world cultures I suppose I have a certain sympathy toward Indic civilization. Muslim India, on the other hand, is worst India. The clash of the Muslim and Indic worlds fused the worst aspects of both civilizations. Kept the caste system and period huts, imported sharia law and slavery. Islam does that to the cultures it gets control of.
African Americans adopting Muslim names and Islam (although he isn't Muslim, see example: Tariq Nasheed for his name) makes some kind of sense since adopting Islam implies you can have a support network with Muslims from West Africa and other parts of Africa too (like the Swahili Coast) and basically around the world to help back you up. Plus also distance yourself from "dat whyte man's religeeon" even though Islam is just as foreign to sub-saharans as Christianity. This was back during the 'peak' era of Pan-Africanism during the entire 20th century before that kind of declined and now there's the FBA movement (which is where schizo religions come in like Black Israelites, Hoteps, the NOI, etc). ... Also on an unrelated note; I think Islam is pretty stinky in general but is it weird I kind of have some sort of 'preference' over Shias? From what I gathered it kind of seems like Shia Muslims on average don't really seem as lolcowish as Sunni Muslims are. Like Shia are A-OK with drawings of people, music, crying over graves (crazy that Sunnis ban that lol), etc. they just seem to not be as batshit insane but then again that might be because they're a smaller group than Sunni and almost all Shia are basically confined to a handful of countries. Oh and Dearborn, I guess.
That's pretty much it. Islam appeals with easy to understand rules, aesthetics, and appeal to young men loitering in parking lots. And it's NOT WHITE. It's the enemy of white, which muslims often conflate with Judeo-Christianity.
As for the Shia, on a related note to them being slightly more chill, I think they believe said favorite wife to have been over 9, but they think she cheated on momo and should have been stoned to death (I think, please correct)
