As a New Englander, let me say that RI turning Red is actually kind of a huge deal, even if it isn't worth that many votes.

Barring based Maine, New England has been a so entrenched in Blue for so long, seeing any of the states (again, barring Maine) turn Red is like seeing a fucking Unicorn; beautiful, but you're not entirely sure that it's real.

It was incumbent blue, challenger red until 2004, when they realized they could make "red state" into a term people would fear and mock.
 
One of the biggest things I have taken away tonight was that McConnell won. His opponent had more votes in the primary than Mitch managed if I recall and he won.

That is not a good sign for the DNC in general.

They peaked too early and then let cities burn.
