Literally everything about this photo is terrible

I've actually become more interested in Maria's cooking videos than her "beauty" ones. Watching them is an amazing appetite suppressant. I wish there were more.

Thanks for that, immediately after watching that I managed to reach my target weight by losing the will to eat. Anyone know why the camera looks like it's underwater? I've never seen someone film so poorly it did that, and thats including when I've seen screens recorded with cell phones for that nice double hit of awful quality.

It's her cheapo pay as you go phone.

CarpioMonstro

Cyclist with a helmet camera. Not all of his videos are amusing, but there are some where he chimps out at cars he thinks passed too close to him.

EDIT: found an example.

Dolly Anastasiya Shpagina claims that she never uses photoshop or circle lenses. Somehow I have trouble believing that....

Huh. She used to freely admit to using at least a fuckton of makeup and the biggest circle lenses she could buy, if not a little Photoshop magic too. People would compare her to Kotakoti (Dakota Rose), who famously photoshops the fuck out of her pics and applies her makeup with a palette knife and wears circle lenses and wigs and fake lashes--which there's nothing wrong with DOING, especially if you are trying to model, but she steadfastly denied doing any of it, claiming she was 'all natural'. Now this one is claiming to just naturally look like an anime character.

These 'human dolly' types, in addition to being more than slightly creepy, also remind me a bit of psychics and mystics. Everyone knows what they're doing is the result of a looottt of fakery and smoke and mirrors, but they claim it's genuine to gain notoriety and eventually go on to believe their own bullshit. Including some of the ones who start off being totally honest and going, 'Yeah, none of this is real, it's all a trick!' And all it takes is some really stupid, desperate, very gullible people to reinforce the belief that actually they're really special and stuff.

I have a lot more respect for the ones who admit, 'Yeah, I had six figures worth of plastic surgery to look this way. And what? Haters to the left!' They're still uncomfortable to look at, but at least they're not pretending to be something they're not.

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but here goes:

Emilie Autumn

https://encyclopediadramatica.es/Emilie_Autumn

Modeling herself after a Victorian mad girl, Emilie is from California. She's supposedly been in a mental institution and even wrote a book called The Asylum For Wayward Victorian Girls. I've read the book and extensively sampled her music. She fascinates me for some reason, though I wouldn't call myself a "Plague Rat".

The most lulz-worthy tidbits about her is that she thinks Lady Gaga and Sucker Punch ripped her off, and she lied about her family dying in a fire. Also, she's called Glittertits. Why? Because of the glittery pasties she wears, of course. Her fanbase has pretty much imploded since the closure of her forum. There's always drama surrounding her, and the full brunt of it seems to be posted on the Wayward Victorian Confessions tumblr. It's the only tumblr I'll visit, specifically for fan opinions on her.

I'm not debating whether or not she's been in an institution, nor do I personally find that amusing. I've had to stay in a psych hospital myself for a couple of days, so some of her story rings true to me, but only in the vague, generic sort of way. Bad food, surly and unhelpful staff, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, etc. However, all of it reads as poor me, I'm smarter than all the doctors in here. Up until it gets into the "alternate reality" shit, where her Victorian alter-ego comes into play.

So..Yeah.

Oh I remember her. I've read her book. It's pretty special . First of all, tn takes place in the "Victorian Era" which she seems to think took place in the 1700's (Is Google REALLY that hard?) and all the characters are like, radical Suicide-Girl-esc pin ups who would never have existed in the Victorian Era let alone, the 1700's.

It truly is. If you go to her website shop, she calls it "extremely well researched historical fiction". Also, it's been showcased at Oxford University, apparently. Uh huh. It's 75 fucking dollars, too. And it's mostly pictures.

I'd sooner believe she was a direct descendant of Alice Liddel than that, and that's total b.s.
