IIRC, she was giving a deposition because she was being sued for harassment and it came out she used racial slurs against blacks.

Her network and sponsors aren't renewing her contract, so her career is pretty much over.

She also didn't see any issues with her brother watching Porn in the backroom of the restaurant they both owned. She also thought it would be neat to have a plantation style wedding with black waiters for her brother's wedding (she didn't go through with it though). She stood Matt Lauer up for an interview last week and came out with these terrible apology videos, and I think that was the last straw for Food Network. When she finally came to see Matt Lauer yesterday, she made a complete ass out of herself with her crocodile tears.

I personally haven't been able to stand Paula for years, I hated her dumb hick routine --which turns out wasn't a routine. Paula is turning into a major league lolcow, guys.

To be fair, Paula Dean managed to make a millionaire out of herself with her cooking. She and her sons were abandoned by her husband and she was left trying to find a way to help herself and her family, and she did. Even if she's racist, she did well for herself. Hopefully her money is invested well. I'd be able to live off what she's made.

Paula Dean,(and don't get me wrong, what she did was racist as shit) is not a Storm front, proud, shout it from the mountaintops, racist. She does not see herself as racist, and may have black friends, but she does not realize how offensive what she is saying is. I live in the South and I see that a lot, white people who have black friends, but don't understand why they get offended by certain things. I hear a lot of Southern women, who I know are not racist, say things like, "Whats the big deal?" about Paula Deens bullshit. To tie it to OPL, its kind of like how he doesn't realize how offensive it sounds, when he says he does not want a black sweetheart. At least that's what I think.

I know this goes back several pages, but that Sharz Miguazin person? WOW. How does he not have an ED page? Terrifying. All the talk about how he threatens his mother with violence when the allowance she gives him is the only money he'll ever have, because he'll never have a job. I was under the impression that Sharz Miguazin did in fact have an ED page, because they love to go after furries and certainly wouldn't miss an opportunity to go after a babyfur -- and because he's himself: the "no drink, no dinner, bitch" stunt he pulled on his poor terrorized mother became memetic for a while. (Especially given that the family doesn't seem to be in a financial place to waste food; especially given that, per his own account, there was soda in the fridge and no need to buy a watered-down drink at McD's; especially ESPECIALLY how utterly ungrateful and entitled that whole bullshit was.) I'll check later. There's only so much abyss-staring I had worked into the schedule for today.
