Joey has been on my radar for the last few weeks. I was going to write up a thread on him, but I don’t think I have enough on him yet.

You might be wondering what it is about Joey that piqued my interest. At first, he appears to be yet another generic culture warrior who constantly rants about the modern state of Star Wars. After two years of being on YouTube, he has barely broken 200 subs.

I came across this guy recently with the Instagram handle 'theisolationyear'.

I just had youtube suggest me this channel the other day, and was similarly fascinated. It looks like the only posts about him on KF are the ones here. I really feel like this guy deserves his own thread, but he's also really boring.

You summed it up better than I could. If people point out any contradictions to him in his chat, he politely tells them to fuck off. Nowhere does he actually give any coherent explanation of how doing the complete opposite of what you should do to improve your life, will improve his life.

When people ask how being online 24/7 is isolation he responds by redefining the word "isolation" until it fits.

It reads like a monetized excuse to opt out of adult life. Lock yourself in a room, stay online all day, call it “discipline,” and hope strangers fund the vacation from responsibility. But even as a grift, it’s terrible. A good grift has a clean story people want to believe. This one is a pile of contradictions that immediately make people angry and attracts purely negative attention. I think it's the very definition of lolcow behavior.

It would've been fun to keep tabs on it through his year of isolation but like you said - he's so unbelievably boring to watch. Even his video posts are just him autistically rambling the same promise of change without explaining anything. I caught a few comments saying the same thing where they're already bored of him doing dull workout streams and not actually talking or engaging with the audience.

If there was no isolation part to the whole thing he'd have so much more praise from the public but for some reason he's added that in and nobody can figure out the logic. Nothing is stopping him from doing his exercise routines and eating better in his normal life. He's got a wife and kids that seem to care about him enough to enable this shit but he's adamant he can't be near them for no fucking reason.

The only remotely entertaining thing he's done was breaking some stepladder and falling like a retard.

It's been almost a month since I first posted about this guy so I thought I'd give an update on how he's doing.

For those unaware, Skip is some autistic retard with a wife and kids who decided to isolate himself for a full year (starting January 10th) in a room in the family home to 'better himself' and fix his social, mental and physical problems. He's not allowed to see his wife and kids or anyone else during that time either.

And despite getting thousands of comments telling him what a retarded plan it is and how he needs to seek mental help Skip told them they're all wrong and went ahead with it. Could he just exercise outside, try therapy and work on things with his family like normal people do instead of isolating in some bedroom with a computer? Sure, but Skip is autistic and dumb.

I don't keep tabs on his '24/7 livestream' (they're actually 12 hour streams that he restarts constantly) since it's just him walking around his room or sleeping most of the time but according to him he's made progress and lost around 15lbs.

But Skip also has bad days and he makes sure to remind his social media how difficult this challenge is despite being told repeatedly what a horrible idea it is. Here's a post he made 22 days in where he talks about how mentally difficult being isolated is but that he knows it's part of the 'personal growth'.

It's worth noting that he makes a lot of videos like these where he hopes his autistic defiance against self-created hardships will shine through enough to go viral and get him more followers.

I mentioned this in the original post but Skip, being autistic and retarded, also has a habit of being overly-sensitive and defensive whenever anyone questions him or his plans. One thing he seems to really hate is people trying to correct his definition of 'isolation' which he continually fights people in the comments about.

Someone under that same post did this and reminded him that it can't really be true 'isolation' since Skip still talks to thousands of followers every day on his phone and on the computer that he has access to and talks to his family on FaceTime every day. The only difference is that he's locked himself in a room while doing it. But Skip clearly hates that someone is trying to tarnish his 'isolation year' name and gets crazy defensive about it.





And he is constantly reminded about how fucking bad he is at handling that criticism.



These livestreams are so boring and uneventful but for some reason he does get a little following when he streams. To profit from this he's recently posted about wanting to hire teachers for things such as guitar lessons, Spanish lessons and also help with his reading (lol).



And what do they get in return for taking time out of their day to teach him these things? To 'collab' with him on his stream! Money?? Lol, get the fuck outta here.



It's also worth mentioning that Skip has a habit of either blocking someone or deleting the comments of someone when they question him. A lot of posts tend to have these moments where it looks like Skip is rambling to nobody but it's just because he's deleted their comment in an autistic rage.



Someone questioned his reading ability. Nothing remarkable about this I just thought it was funny to include.



One last thing on these replies too. You might've noticed in Skip's overly-sensitive replies that it can quickly change from poorly worded autistic rants to the rare sudden perfect spelling. Apparently Skip has to use ChatGPT to word his replies when the 'tism gets too much.

When I first found this account I saw comments alluding to his wife's eagerness over all this to be plans to cuck him while he's stuck in the room but he may have removed them since. It's very possible though.

Speaking of his wife, Darcy has her own account too at 'theisolationwife' where she's clearly supportive of avoiding her selfish husband for an entire year.

There's this youtube channel I found called Vlad Dracula archives, real name Tim Hutchins is from Texas. He thinks he's Dracula, a secret service agent and a scientist. He started off making slideshows with random images and bodies in caskets however later the videos became crazy with him dancing around and talking to people who he believed were government officials. He died at some point in 2020. I don't even know how to describe these videos the titles speak for themselves.

I really have no idea what's going on here.

Diana's content usually amounts to posts like these where she accuses random people and celebrities of doing black magic ritual parallel universal rape on her. She's a very big believer of Kundalini (female divine energy) and blames aches and itches on black magic. She currently works at Wendy's and hasn't been fired yet, so I have reason to assume she doesn't act like a retard all the time. Also adding that she's a mother but her children aren't in her care and they don't seem to be in contact with her afaik. She only follows one of them on Instagram.

You'll notice she uses WhatsApp a lot, and there you'll find she uses it as a diary. Most of the time it's nonsense, but you'll start to notice a couple of names sticking out in almost every post.

Diana's Family

Benigno Alberto Espaillat and Laura Vivian Blair are Diana's parents and Daniel Alberto Espaillat is her older brother. Beni and Laura divorced, and Laura married Diana's stepdad, Joseph Blair, who works for Homeland Security. She alleges her parents rape her in a parallel universe and use black magic as a means to make her life worse. However, at least since before July 2025, Diana had been on speaking terms with her father until she began having problems with her rental that the two had signed together. CONCORD — A federal jury sided last week against two Swanzey women who had sued three Massachusetts State Police troopers over what the women claimed was a pair of overly invasive highway-side “strip searches” in 2013.
The women, Amy Akin and Diana M. Espaillat, had sought financial compensation for what they said was emotional distress resulting from the searches. In court filings, attorneys for the troopers countered that the searches were “minimally invasive” and justified by their suspicion that Akin and Espaillat were transporting illegal drugs.
During the trial, in U.S. District Court in Concord, a judge dismissed the claims against one of the troopers, Matthew Trombley, according to one of his lawyers, Daniel J. Moynihan Jr.

Jurors on Thursday rejected Akin and Espaillat’s claims about the other two troopers, Noah Pack and Detective Lt. Robin Whitney. Whitney is now retired.
The lawsuit arose from a daytime traffic stop on Oct. 17, 2013, on Interstate 91 near Deerfield, Mass. Akin was driving north on the highway, with Espaillat in the passenger seat, when Pack pulled her over for a traffic violation, according to facts agreed to by parties on both sides of the dispute.
During the ensuing stop, at least one of the women indicated there was marijuana in the car. Pack searched the vehicle, finding less than an ounce of the drug and a digital scale, according to Akin’s complaint.
At some point, Pack requested assistance from other troopers, and Trombley and Whitney arrived. Whitney, a woman, searched Akin and Espaillat. Three packets of heroin fell out of Espaillat’s bra.
Otherwise, the two women and the three state troopers offer sharply different pictures of what happened that day, according to court documents filed by their attorneys.
Akin asserted that she and Espaillat refused to consent to Pack’s search of the car.
Espaillat said Pack frisked her, then Akin. Once Whitney arrived, Espaillat alleged, the female trooper told her to lift her shirt and bra. Espaillat did so, exposing her breasts, she said, to the male troopers and passing traffic.
Akin claimed Whitney then searched her by the open door of a police cruiser that did little to shield her from view. Acting on Whitney’s orders, Akin said, she raised her shirt and bra. According to Akin, Whitney then told her to lower her pants and underwear. When Akin did not immediately comply, “Whitney yanked Ms. Akin’s pants and underwear down to her mid-thighs,” Akin alleged in her complaint.
Espaillat said she was then searched again, with Whitney pulling down her jeans and underwear. Whitney found heroin and a “marijuana pipe” in Espaillat’s underwear, according to a pretrial statement filed by Espaillat’s attorney.
Both women said they felt “violated” and humiliated by the searches, and by the cars they heard honk or saw “slow down to get a better look,” as Akin alleged.
Lawyers for the troopers rejected that version of events.
In a pretrial statement, they wrote that when Pack first approached the car, Espaillat and Akin seemed nervous, were sweating and had trouble maintaining eye contact.

When asked about the reason for the trip, Akin — according to the police’s account — said they had driven from Keene to South Hadley, Mass., more than an hour south, to buy $40 worth of marijuana.
“This implausible story, along with the furtive movements and nervous behaviors of both Ms. Espaillat and Ms. Akin, prompted Trooper Pack to ask Ms. Akin if he could search the car,” the troopers’ lawyers wrote.
According to the statement, Akin gave Pack permission to search the car, saying it contained marijuana and a glass pipe. Pack found marijuana and a digital scale, but Akin and Espaillat remained nervous, and no glass pipe had been found, “indicating that it may have been secreted on one of their persons,” the lawyers wrote.
Whitney then searched both women. She “asked Ms. Espaillat to grasp and shake her bra from the outside of her shirt, with the intent of allowing any concealed items to fall free,” the troopers’ lawyers wrote. Instead, “Ms. Espaillat grasped her shirt and bra and raised both completely up, exposing her breasts,” they wrote.
Pack and Trombley denied that Espaillat and Akin had been visible to them during the searches.
Police alleged they found more than 250 bags of heroin and cocaine on Espaillat’s person, lawyers for the troopers wrote in a pre-trial motion.
“The jury fully respected and appreciated the job that the State Police officers do out there,” Joseph P. Kittredge, an attorney for Pack, said Monday. “They recognized that they were honest in their versions of what occurred.”
Espaillat’s attorney, Benjamin C. Rudolf, said he was “quite disappointed with the verdict.”
“We continue to believe that the facts showed a clear violation of my client’s constitutional rights by the officers involved,” he said Monday via email, adding that “the facts as described in the officers’ own testimony and in the police report demonstrated an unreasonable strip search by the side of an interstate highway.”
Akin represented herself.
The proceedings were housed in Concord but overseen by a judge from the District of Massachusetts, where the case originated.
Only Akin, Espaillat and the three troopers testified. Attorneys for the troopers said the case hinged on credibility.
“It had to do with the version told by the two women and the version told by the officers at the scene,” Kittredge said.
Akin is currently incarcerated at the Cheshire County jail awaiting trial on unrelated drug charges.
Drug charges against Akin arising from the 2013 incident were ultimately dismissed, according to filings in the lawsuit. According to a motion filed by attorneys for the state troopers, a charge of drug possession against Espaillat was continued without a finding — an arrangement in which a defendant acknowledges prosecutors have enough evidence to prove the case but avoids a conviction.

It's been almost a month since I first posted about this guy so I thought I'd give an update on how he's doing.

Another update on the autistic fame-hungry recluse known as theisolationyear.

Since I last posted it seems that Skip ended up being mentioned on numerous news shows and podcasts. Given how much time he has to himself, Skip put together a lovely montage here.

With the coverage his channel has seen a growing number of 'haters' on each post telling Skip what a retard he is. The problem with Skip and this isolation project is that 99% of people think it's retarded, so the more it trends the more criticism he's going to get. And Skip is awful at handling any criticism.



It's gotten to a point where Skip even tard rages at his own fans asking him to make a simple lighting adjustment during the videos.



That same fan, who has followed Skip from the very beginning, then went into a rant a week later when they realised Skip cares more about responding to negativity than his actual fans who watch him lmao.



In one post arguing about how he's not actually isolating (he's still livestreaming with people, doing interviews and talking to his family every day), Skip claims he used to work on an oil rig with 60 other people and that itself was isolating too. The guy he's arguing with, who also worked on an oil rig, has to explain to him what actual isolation is.

Under a post where Skip was promoting playing with Lego on Valentines Day instead of spending it with his wife, someone commented about how weird that is and Skip didn't take to it fondly.

It seems this got to Skip who then started calling out his haters in a lot of his future videos, including this video about his one month celebration.

He's also fully equipped with childish insults if any haters appear. He's nearly 50 by the way.

Someone commented to call out how ironic it is that he's doing this isolation stunt to be more productive, hardworking and authentic and yet he uses AI to make his post. Skip hits back at them for insinuating that he, a guy who is isolating for a full year with no work or responsibilities, has enough time on his hands to make it himself. Fucking lol.




And his haters continue to enjoy his retarded comebacks and how easily triggered he gets.

But fuck the haters, because Skip uploaded a new video where he shows off how his daily exercise and non-stop hard work pays off in his one month transformation! And yes that's two separate clips I swear.

In case you wondered how Skip even manages to be fed while holed up in a locked room in his family house - his wife feeds him through an airlock.



And speaking of his wife (who lives in the house with him and is looking after the kids and is paying the bills as a nurse while he is playing teenager), she has still yet to post anything. Someone questioned this and Skip replied claiming she doesn't post because of the haters and definitely not because she is busy enjoying life without Skip.

But part of his autistic quest is to be more productive so Skip makes sure to remind everyone that he does his own food prep in some cringe motivational video. During it he brings up that it's not about weight goals (he's repeatedly said it is) but about being responsible with his eating and to 'rebuild' himself while blocking out social media. Yes, he could do this like a normal person and learn this stuff without the isolated bullshit, but Skip is a retard looking for attention.

And after posting this it turns out his wise bullshit doesn't go down well.



After someone called out his comments on cutting out social media, Skip claims he's spending less and less time online each day. Another commenter later comments that he checked in on his livestream and that he's literally watching YouTube and scrolling on his phone.



Skip's most hated pet-peeve - people calling out how he's dumb and doesn't know what words actually mean. It then leads to him being called out for his defensive attitude.





Also Skip thinks someone is jealous of his current living situation.

It's worth noting that Skip got interviewed by Paul Sheer (an actor/podcaster with over 300k followers) as part of his one month celebration. What did Skip do to promote this? He uploaded a clip a week later where he talked about how he's lazy and he 'nearly died' during his first 30 days because he couldn't drink soda anymore.

This barely got any traction (lol) but according to one comment string it seems that Skip has been telling his fans that he hopes this whole stunt gets noticed by the eyes of Hollywood (more specifically Netflix) and gets turned into a documentary some day.

Skip tried again to go viral by making a video of himself hanging from a bar and promoting his journey to doing one pull-up.

It didn't go viral but it did stir up discussion for why it's been 40 days of supposed daily exercise and Skip still can't do a single pull-up.



Someone in the comment string even checked in and saw Skip was fucking around on his computer for two hours instead of exercising and reminded him of the obvious consequences of live streaming yourself 24/7.

What's ironic with Skip is that he is desperate to go viral for this cringe project and is doing everything to build a following but by doing so is attracting more criticism which he hates. He has such thin skin when it comes to any form of criticism that he will rage at both 'haters' and even his own fans if they don't agree with him. He's clearly hoped he would have a consistent following by now but given how he barely gets any viewers and his posts are flooded with criticism it's clearly getting to him after only a month.
