You can tell that they spent a couple of years spinning wheels and worldbuilding. It's a very well realized thing.
The final plot is the result of John Lasseter being airdropped in to salvage things. I actually agree with the desicions I've heard he made but it was a blatant rush job.
Says a lot it went from "Savage Seas" to this.

I think if they would have figured out a way to resolve the plot without Judy flaming out, quitting the force and then miraculously stumbling upon the solution after a time skip, it would be a much better film.
Not to mention, the twist villain needed some work. Bellwether had no foreshadowing or clues, and by the time she's revealed, it's too late for her to leave an impression.

Automaton West: Hideo Kojima to make cameo in Zootopia 2’s Japanese version, at director’s personal request (archive)
Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima will be appearing in the Japanese version of Disney’s Zootopia 2. According to Mantanweb [archive], Kojima received a direct offer from Jared Bush, CCO of Walt Disney Animation Studios and director of the Zootopia series, to lend his voice to the new film.

Kojima will play the role of Officer Paul Moledebrandt, a mole who works at the Zootopia Police Department alongside protagonists Judy and Nick. This will be the game director’s first appearance in an animated film, and he seems pretty excited about it.

Didn't expect to find a thread for Zootopia in KF. Is anyone posting here outing themselves as a furry? Either way, I watched the second movie. It's okay. Could be better, could be worse, it gets a better score than it deserves because the rest of Disney movies (nevermind actual animated movies) this past decade has been terrible. There's an annoying number of member-berries references to the previous movie, and one annoying badger who sticks around for too long likely because its voice actor is a trannoid.

The bad guys are EEEEEEVIL! white lynxes whose main figure is a patriarch hellbent on killing anyone staying on his way to the point of inanity, and is an one-dimensional landlord. Contrary to the first movie, who despite the villain had a minimal presence and had a bit complex message, nothing of the sort here. The lynxes are shown as utterly evil, no matter the circumstances. So much for not judging a book for its cover.
Oh, and Nick acts dumber and clusmimer than usual probably because he's close enough to count as a competent white hetero male, and we can't have that today.
I wouldn't be surprised if they cut scenes mentioned in the leaked script, there are a few awkward scenes that look like something was missing.
Oh, and expect Zootopia 3, and more until it dies out.

Zootopia is basically an even shitter duloc. Both are about the perfect cities to be made for different species to live with each other.

Predator and prey live together and fairy tale creatures and humans live together only both to be some segregation.

Just watched Zootopia 2. All I can even muster up is "it's alright". The animation is nice but near the end I facepalmed so hard you could hear it from the other side of the room. Would it kill these assholes to cut it out with the twist villain crap? You know it's already fucked up when the only time movies had a real villain and that was from Puss and Boots. Jesus christ.
With a Lynx expect to get jinxed!

And now "Pawbert" is the new "flavor of the month" for these people. The fanart will never end.

Finally got around to watching it, now that a good torrent dropped.

In all honesty, it was better than I expected. The Message is there, front and center, but it didn't feel like I was being beaten over the head with it as much as I was with "Racism Bad" in the first movie. It serves more to advance the plot instead of explaining "why" certain decisions were made. Bellwether was bad "because she hates predators". The Lynxleys are bad because they're protecting their family legacy and enriching themselves. That's a much more interesting motivation.

Animation was good, characters were fine, music was expected (not a big fan but I don't like pop or hollywood orchestra), writing was serviceable enough. I found the humor way better than the first movie surprisingly. Ke Huy Quan was kind of annoying though.

I dunno, it was a lot better than I thought it was gonna be.

I see someone took their fanfic to extremes with this AI-looking thing.

This channel has more.

Would the kids be Rabbix or Roxes?
Who knows at this point. I just knew they wouldn't pass up a chance to make this happen at all now that they have the technology to pull off these vids.

This nearly 80 minutes of fanfic AI slop was shat out within a couple months.

Tbh I didn't like the first zootopia. Don't know why it's highly rated

IMO what made the first movie noteworthy was the worldbuilding. The plot a characters were okay but the world was genuinely interesting and well crafted. It was neat to see all the little details that show how much thought went into realizing the concept of a giant city where all these different animals get along. The most enjoyment I got out of it was watching it on my own so I could pause it at will and appreciate the background work.

Speaking of which I also think that undercuts the anti-racist diversity message since the functionality of the city relies on massive border walls that divide groups with conflicting needs. The real world would function better if there was a big wall that separated niggertown, chinktown, pajeetslums, and whitesville.

Same here, waited for the chance to watch it ethically without giving Disney money.
Oh it's pretty dumb. It tries with the new characters and action but it's 96 minutes, then the credits toll and we're out.
I didn't expect anything and I was still disappointed.
It wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be based on some of the things I'd heard. It had less worldbuilding details than the first movie, which was both disappointing but also expected given that it had to exist in the world that was already built. I think the best part of the movie was Marsh Market and the reptile boat club. All things considered I'd say it was a step above some of the old disney direct-to-video sequels.

Rewatched it now that it's out of cinemas and has better quality. Unfortunately, the sequel is MUCH weaker than the first one. That was to be expected, but I disliked the constant references to the first movie, and how Nick is pussywhipped+constantly dunked on for no apparent reason (other than being a honorary hetero white male, I guess*), and how Judy acts like an ungrateful hoe and barely suffers no consequences for her actions.
Chances are the third movie will be much worse.

*Weren't predators meant to be nigs though? wouldn't that be symbolic racism?

I'm sure. Didn't expect improvement in the writing since this seems to be the road they want to go down with this IP.

They had to find something else to take over that this time (they'll probably repeat this again for a third movie with birds).
