Honestly, this could be so much worse. I haven't seen the whole book, but this seems fairly benign aside from the gender stereotyping. That being said, this really seems like the kind of book you get your kid if somebody in the family turns out to be trans so it can be explained to them, rather than something to get to make your kids woke. A kids concept of gender isn't the same as an adults.

As long as they're not suggesting that Ruthie's on puberty blockers and that's super-duper awesome, then it gets little more than a shrug from me.

The number of women I know who were tomboys, hating pink and playing with trucks are now married heterosexual feminine women proves the opposite.
Also a lot of those "trans men" and "nb people" were girly girls before drinking the queer kool-aid. :)

Unless you've had a specific interaction with them, you might be on one of those 'block these evil people' lists. They're always used by exceptional individuals from far right woman hating incels to people who are so void of personality they are defined by all the things that make them different.
 
No TL;DW because I didn't watch the whole thing (45min? are you kidding me?) but the intro is another proof non-binaries think they are better than everyone because they dare to "get off of gender stereotypes" and are just themselves (evil cis can't have personality apparently).
Again, all girls, living a comfortable life and stupid parents prefer to give blockers to their daughter instead of just telling them it's ok to be a woman and a tomboy and puberty sucks for everyone.

I think that's the biggest issue with this, because we're now told how terrible and scary being a woman is. People would rather pretend to be something else than try to be a strong person.
 
So, someone I follow on youtube announced a few weeks back that she'd recently discovered that she's nonbinary and she wants to go by them/them pronouns and she picked the most ridiculous name on earth (It's Fayben. Yeah.). She also just announced today that exactly a year ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer and that as treatment, she'd gotten a double mastectomy. She's cancer-free now, thankfully, but it makes me wonder.

Like, what if the reason why she's suddenly realized she's "nonbinary" is not because she was born that way or whatever, but because she's suddenly facing a massive discomfort with her body and femininity now that her boobs got removed for treatment? I know some women have had issues with their womanhood post-mastectomy, feeling as though they're "wrong" and "not real women" anymore- what if it's the same case for her, and instead of getting therapy, she bought into what these assholes are peddling? This type of shit makes me sad for people nowadays. You don't 110% fit the mold of a perfect, stereotypical man or woman and suddenly you're not really a man or really a woman.

Are any nonbinary people gainfully employed? I don't think I've met or seen anyone who identifies this way who isn't student or self-employed or something.
