Theme music for the second game was pretty good.
I find it weird how NMH3 has barely any vocal tracks. Yet the Orca Force album the game's soundtrack is largely based off of is all tracks with vocals:

The instrumentals just don't hit the same in NMH3. It overall all feels very forgettable. Somehow the only track I can recall is the sushi shop track:

Word on the street is that Marvellous own the rights (I know they own the rights to ILLBLEED and MOON: REMIX RPG and tons more beloved obscure games) and the contract is expiring soon so it had to be rushed in the middle of the macarena event and it doesn't help that a large portion of Grasshopper was jettisoned into a new company called Super Trick Games.
Also apparently Suda is stretched over multiple upcoming projects. I hope Grasshopper are OK :/

As for what's next, killer7 stuff has been appearing a lot recently. I know the original game was rushed out the door after like 4 years in development hell and a giant book detailing stuff that they had to cut out.
Suda has stated that he's always wanted to make a "complete" version and it's up to Capcom to let him do it. I really hope they do.

But what the fuck happened with the FU fight? It's straight up the most boring fight of the entire game. I had to actively avoid dodging too close to FU or the time slow would activate, and you can't attack FU because he has invulnerability except for a tiny window after his attacks, so you sit there like a retard with time slowed down. Then you also can't do your entire melee combo on him because the invulnerability comes back.
I completely agree. FU was a massive letdown and his last phase especially is just running around and waiting for fucking ever for him to finally close his dumbass eyes for half a second so you can unload all your death drive shit on him while he's stunlocked and cuck him out of half his health bar. They hyped him up for the whole ass game and it just sucked. Boss theme was boring too. He just plays like a shittier version of the Armstrong fight from Metal Gear Rising, grab spamming and all.

Does this have anything to do with Suda coming out and saying this'll be the last NMH even tho the ending is a gigantic cliffhanger?

What did Suda mean by this? 30868AC5-1495-49DF-B750-322F9C3C8FAE.jpeg
Game is fun

>Japanese releases popular gacha game, creating a massive boom of gacha games on mobile
>Japanese RPGs, save for Persona and Yakuza, are in heavy decline
>Japanese game developers are being bought out by Tencent and NetEase
>Other games like Scarlet Nexus and NMH3 are forgettable and redundant garbage

The Japanese entertainment industry is slowly killing itself one by one.

I liked 1
Every new game after 1 always had the same reaction from me where Suda's showing off how le wacky he can get and I'm like "I just want to go back to NMH1"
I simply don't really care for how ridiculous suda can get since that's like Tommy Wiseau becoming self aware and trying too hard, but I really liked how Travis was just a fucking loser in the first game and he fought against crazy people but now there's monsters and time travel? Maaaaaan..

The shitposting about the Fuck Racism shirt is funny to see at least

I personally loved the introspection Travis has in TSA. The end of level interviews with who I assume are the CIA are some of my favorite parts.

Possibly although it's speculated that the cliffhanger was a callback to NMH1's cliffhanger ending despite it being mostly self contained.

I may try that one out since people like how they did Travis in that one, I'm glad it's on PC

This game needs a patch pretty bad. It's super junky at times and my game hard locked after the cutscene following the first boss.

I would highly recommend it, not only for the story but the game has some of the best boss themes in the entire series. I'd put Smoking King's theme near the top of the list, along with Electro Triple Star's.

I like it though I absolutely understand why a lot of people won’t. Needs a performance patch asap. I’m also still not clear on if Jeane is a female cat or not.

I liked it, not as much as the first though. My biggest criticism would be that the boss music isn't as memorable as the first 2 games, funnily enough I only really remember Mr. Blackholes and Velvet Chair Girls.

Just because you play mainstream shit doesnt mean the jap vidya industry is dying

I wish they hadnt siked so many of the Galactic Superheroes. 4 of them get the shaft, thats way too much.

Its a waste of interesting designs. They should've done it once as a reference to Dr. Letz Shake and then kept the rest. Have the "Surprise" boss fights happen outside of the official rankings, like they did with Kimmy in 2.

It sucks because those 4 are the exact ones I was looking forward to the most.
