Hoping for updates on BOTW2, Bayo 3 etc. at this year's E3. Nintendo seems to land a good showing every couple years and 2019's was really great IMO so we're about due for another of that calibre.

Oh I was wrong. I actually do like the UMD drive. It was a neat experiment and also the closest I will get to owning a spinfusor in my lifetime
I put the PSP1000 thumbstick on my 3DS nub. Highly recommend it. It fits on with no effort and is a vast improvement.

You'll be getting BOTW2 and Bayo 3 for the Switch Pro and then you'll have to sit through 6 months of reading 8,000 reddit posts justifying paying the 2 grand for the scalper price because botting will become even more frequent and nobody will be able to purchase one normally.

Mario Golf has always been fun since the n64. The 3DS one is my favorite and is also the latest entry until Rush is released. Golf IRL itself is actually fun when you begin to figure out the geometry of the course you’re on..

If they are smart they can do a Mario/Metroid/Zelda theme and announce and show a new game in each franchise. That would be pretty sick.
Instead we will probably get Mario Hockey and a hour long demonstration of someone sucking at Bayonetta 3.

I really hope they show Metroid Prime. Or even just port the original trilogy to Switch. Prime Trilogy on Wii was phenomenal. The motion controls actually enhanced the gameplay.
I don't want an Ocarina of Time remaster. The 3DS remake was plenty good.

Earlier than I expected, it's going to be a fucking nightmare to get one especially once exclusive games come for it. They upped the clockspeed which means specific titles will not work on a base switch because it's like running Cyberpunk on a base PS4.
Won't happen the board is entirely different and the casing itself has dimension changes..

It's specifically for all the markets outside Japan, nobody in the west, china, and Korea really use the portable mode.
Joycons do look different though, they need to be opened up to be confirmed.

Citation needed pretty much everywhere.
They kept the same battery in the "improved battery life" model and switched to 16nm process chips while retaining the same clockspeeds. If they increased them in the OLED model that significantly, then that battery life estimate should have changed.
Same goes for overall dimensions, nothing's changed. Unless you want to make the claim they made the joycons bigger, while retaining the exact same proportions and position of the buttons and analogs. And lose physical compability with all joycons out there.

I mean to me it sounds like they did up the clock speed, but you're right the battery life should have decreased.
I guess we'll find out when they do a teardown.

Looks like I'll be able to save the money I would've spent on this. No real enticing improvements over the original, and the original has sold so well that they'll still be developing with its hardware in mind. Perhaps that was why there don't appear to be any significant processing improvements.
