Honestly I'm open to any titles atm. I have a lot of interest in getting Mario Odyssey, Kirby Star Allies, Treasure Tracker. I'm just waiting for my next paycheck at the moment. I also need to get a new joycon because the right bumper is completely busted.
edit: forgot to mention i preordered Undertale
Well I don't know what you already own but I liked these titles on Switch

Fast RMX
Shovel Knight
MK8DX
BotW
Bayo 1/2
Sonic Mania
Tropical Freeze (my waifu)
Cave Story (who hasn't played this one already though)

I like the switch, at least it has games for it unlike the Wii U (even tho most of the nintendo ones are Wii U Ports and some of the third party games are ones that were already released for other platforms first (like Doom and Skyrim and the upcoming Diablo 3) at least it's Region Free cause that how i got Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires for Switch even those it's in Japanese i figured it out quickly with some help

I quite like the fact that they're porting the Wii-U library. A lot of those games were damn good games that didn't reach an audience because the convoke was a bit of a flop. I also quite like having portable versions of my favourite time killers. Portable Civ VI for the win baby!

I'm only paying €5 (thank god for that family plan) but I dunno mang. It looks so unimpressive so far.
Yeah but every consoles online plan is bad. You're effectively paying for something that Steam gives you free. The only reason that it looks bad is because it's Nintendo doing it and traditionally they've stood firm against things like paid subscriptions.

Yeah but at least other console manufacturers have, like, servers they pay for. Games like Splatoon 2 still use P2P for no good reason, which is great when one guy's shit connection brings down everyone's match. You also have actual support for voice chat.

I like VC as a Netflix-esque service and I don't doubt they'll add more games to that service down the line but right now I can't help but wonder why it took them so long for this.

Octopath is really good.
I thought it got old halfway through, though the art was nice.

Edit: And VC looks like it will be a really shit Netflix, due to the limited library. Nintendo might or might not leverage more money out of its old titles on VC/Switch online than GOG or old games on Steam do for other companies but it sucks for consumers.

Call me crazy, but I am actually thinking of picking up a Switch Lite to play in bed. There are some the titles interest me. Mostly JRPGs.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive
Xenoblade Chronicles II
Star Ocean First Encounter R (cheap)
Langrisser I & II (cheap)
Ys Origin (cheap)
Ys VIII
Ys IX (next year)
Bloodstained (yeah, I hear it's not the best port, but whatever)

Probably most of the other stuff NIS released. Which is quite a bit. I am actually pretty impressed with their catalogue.

Maybe Breath of the Wild and the new Metroid. Also, the remastered FF games, if they are on sale.

It would be my first Nintendo console since SNES. This is the first one in a long while that looks kinda nice to me because of third party support. Wii was meh. I outgrew Mario a long time ago.

Be warned, the battery life is not good (Lite might be a little better, I think, but not overwhelmingly so,) so if you are planning to play in long sessions, well, it will be annoying. Also, if you have big hands the controller might make you cramp up.

Well, there's a power outlet near my bed, so it's not a huge deal. I heard Lite is better on battery because they used a more efficient ARM architecture (also used on the second revision of the full Switch). I'm thinking more "semi-portable" than actual full portable. $200 ain't bad. We'll see. I'll probably go ahead and pull the trigger if there's a second stimulus.

Like I say, this is the only Nintendo console that has interested me in a long ass time. Mainly because they're not doing a completely half-assed job on third party support. I last lost interest in them with the N64, and it would be kinda fun to give them another try for old time sake.

Attn everyone: Stay away from the Switch version of Civ VI. Its broken and buggy and the port team is taking forever to release patches.

Fuckers got my money again, I should have learned my lesson after the trash-pile that was vanilla Civ V.

So, what's wrong with it, exactly?

Good to know, I've seen it for like $15 recently and almost pulled the trigger.

There should be a spreadsheet of bad Switch ports. Throw Payday 2 onto that pile due to the game getting no updates, which ain't right for a game that lives and dies on its updates. It's essentially an incomplete game. And I swear, Mega Man Legacy Collection has some extra input lag that just isn't there on other platforms. Even the 3DS. Legacy Collection 2 seems fine.

And apparently Saints Row the Third is a bad port too? That's what I've read, though I can personally attest to Red Faction Guerilla being fine, and that's from the same developer. Weird.

If your comp can run it, get the PC version. Its a worthwhile game when not shitting itself, like a refined version of Civ V.
