Honestly I’d be very happy if they brought back only needing one copy of a game if you have multiple Switches locally.
Unless they perfected game streaming between consoles, I don’t see that happening. Games are too big for download play to be viable anymore, and some 3DS games like one of the Mario Parties even had to have separate eShop apps for single-cart multiplayer since download play couldn’t handle it alone.

Another vote for "they should have made it look more different for branding reasons". It really does not look distinct enough to differentiate it from the original, give it cat ears, ANYTHING to make it stand out.

As for the pokemon sperging. All of you faggots disrespecting gen 4 starters, chimchar, piplup and turtwig are all adorable and Torterra, Infernape and specially Empoleon look great. Definitely more overdesigned compared to the iconic originals, but gen 4 starters I definitely like more than 2 and 3.

When 5-10 different leakers/accessory manufacturers are all leaking the same thing, it’s safe to assume it’s real. So what could that C button be? It’s not Capture, that already has a button.
It stands for "cuck". You connect it to your wife's boyfriend's social media. When you push it, it sends him a message that you're about to undertake a a marathon Stardew Valley session and he's good to come over and hop in bed with your wife.

Counterpoint PS has looked the same forever and it’s fine. The issue will be Games. It can’t be overstated how much ‘Zelda game that everyone waited 6 years for is releasing with a brand new console’

Everyone stop talking about new consoles and listen to some real news.

I know many of you are excited for Catly, AKA quirky cat game #1538, and we all know there has been some controversy surrounding this game's reveal's trailer looking AI-generated. Thankfully, Catly's developers have stepped forward to set the record straight: They did NOT use NFTs, the blockchain, or "blockchain currency" to make their game.
According to SuperAuthenti, no generative AI was used for either the announcement or the game. A PR rep told IGN that the team was “very surprised by such speculations.” Also stated: “We do not think there are any existing AI tools that can produce a video like that. Industry experts have echoed this opinion.” IGN was able to see a version of the trailer showing in-progress shots interspersed alongside the final version, which seemingly confirms no AI was used.

SuperAuthenti has also completely denied that Catly is a blockchain game, nor are there NFTs. The PR rep said: “Our company/project has never issued any blockchain currency and any NFTs. Our company does not and has never owned any blockchain currency and NFTs.”
Thank. GOD. I don't know how I could sleep at night if blockchain technology were used in a video game, and I'm extremely grateful for the confirmation that NFTs won't be used in the game, even though NFTs have literally nothing to do with a trailer looking kinda sorta hyperrealistic, but that doesn't matter because blockchains and NFTs are le bad because reasons and we can't have le bad things in our wholesome big chungus Reddit cat game.

Its been four days and I've already totally forgotten about it.

Ultimately, it'll come down to three factors: name, price and launch line-up. If they can get two of these right the Switch 2 should be a success from minute one. A similar looking design isn't the end of the world, but if they name it wrong you'll just get Wii U 2.0.
Switch 2 is meant to be fully backwards compatible. The full switch library will be ready to go on day 1, if rumours are to be believed.
See, Nintendo are many thing, but they aren't retarded. Instead of doing a Switch Pro, they just put a 2 on it and sold it as a new generation. Genius really.

With PS you mean playstation? It's been radically different with each iteration from a visual standpoint, so I can only assume you mean something else.

Though I admit, you could Argue that IPhone's and IPads look the same and seem to work fine with their iterations. So it will probably be a nothing burger, but giving it a bit more flair even if it's purely from a base color scheme or logo would do wonders to make it pop off a bit compared to the base Switch.

I meant PlayStation yes. They’ve been a big black box that would later get a slim version since 2. I don’t think people have ever honestly been that confused by consoles unless the company actively goes out of it’s way to make them confused like Nintendo did with the U.

Oh absolutely.

That’s not a rumor, it’s one of the very few things that Nintendo has explicitly confirmed themselves.

Because it is a new generation, the same way that the PS2 was a new generation. The Pro consoles all have in common that they don’t play any exclusives and just run games better (except New 3DS, but that was only a small handful of less significant games), which isn’t the case for this new system.
