Because people have been asking for such a service for forever and a lot of the gaming channels or related content uses Nintendo music in the background.

Nintendo now get to say ‘we’ve made all of that music real easy to access if you do not pay us subscription money we can and will kneecap you.’

And if gives people that wanted a way to legally stream the music a way to do so. And the Nintendo Content Creators a way they get to use the music without Nintendo kneecapping them.

What’s retarded is it took so long for Nintendo to do this.

Nintendo's ability to consistently do the stupidest implementation of a good idea is astounding. Why not just put the soundtracks on Spotify like Sony, Microsoft, Capcom, Square Enix etc do? Because Spotify would take a cut? Much better to silo them in a dedicated app --who doesn't love having to switch apps to listen to one specific artist?-- and then not even include your full music library.

I guarantee if they did a limited edition vinyl release of Super Mario Galaxy's OST they would make more money than they will for the handful of new NSO sign-ups this will prompt. Just baffling.
 
Was so busy fucking around the dragon age thread, i did not notice xenoblade chronicles X is getting a "remaster". they already censored the game outside japan back in 2015 so of course they gonna censor it even more in current year.

I just hope they actually gonna finish the story this time.

You listen to something from the NES era (Like Abadox or something) and then someone asks you where it's from and you just say "oh dude, it's Nintendo music, fucking duh!", and then they spend like 5 minutes trying to find it.

"I can't find it anywhere!" they shout
"Oh keep looking, it's there, you'll eventually see it" you say.
 
I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but this music app is just 110% a way for them to crack down on Nintendo music on Youtube.

Also, the idea that they would launch this without Wario Land 4 is a travesty.

The US is so puritan when it comes to breasts it is ridiculous. In Japan, breasts were all over the place, even in normal stores. I was there this past summer, even in current year it is still like that. Once again the game is for shonen age and the characters are fictional.

I'm just salty this is going to require a nintendo online subscription. I don't own a switch. I gave mine to my siblings because I just didn't like the console. Ended up picking up a WiiU, and then moding the vWii to restore Gamecube compatibility. Online was fun until it shut down. What's weird is MK8 just plays better on my WiiU than it did on the Switch. Switch would have bad frame drops. Maybe I got a faulty switch? who knows.

That is not neccessarily true. Center societies exist and have existed, again, like Japan. I would hate a far right America. It would be better than the current far left one but if we went so far right that we just went back to censoring everything that makes a soccer mom upset, I wouldn't want to live in that one either.

I just want things like the early 2000s again, when people could put anything in games and shows while telling the offended people to piss off.
