Nearly every other third party switch game was like a limited/one time only production run physically and it does not stop angering me. Other consoles are plagued by this too but it's been fucking especially aggravating on switch for me for some reason. The rat platformer rhythm game from a few years ago I wanted to get never showed up physical anywhere with only online retailers carrying it and it selling out after coming out almost immediately. At least that had a reason for that with it being bundled with the soundtrack on CASSETTE of all things but most games don't get that excuse!
This is why I own hundreds of physical switch games bought at or near full price. Many go out of print and fuck you that's it.

Most of the artificially limited release titles have Asia or Japan physical releases with English but its not like those are being infinitely produced.

Still waiting for Play Asia to sell all the Atelia Ryza games as a package

Which are (almost) all 17+, meaning the good shit is censored/taken out
Nintendo doesnt allow porn games. No console does. If u want VNs with all the good uncensored tits/ass ur just gonna have to use PC.

All the 17+ rated VNs are usually the same as they are in Japan with a CERO D rating. Lewd in VN games get a pass so those are the ones worth playing on switch. Unlike Soyny that censors lewd VNs.

Hundreds?? Are there even that many Switch games worth owning?
Yah.
Do indie games and 360 rereleases count? And, if you like VNs, then also yes.
Indie physicals, PS3/360/PS4 portable versions, Vita ports certainly make up a LOT. But yeah just checking my list counting the games I ordered today I have 71 switch VN cartridges...

I would very much like a physical Arland trilogy but pretty well given up at this point.

Gonna be real with you: H scenes suck.

Like of course I want to see titties but they are always horribly paced and awkward. Lifting them out is almost always an improvement.

Plus with them gone I can usually play these games around my family.

I have plenty of Switch games and only a few take up more than 10 GB, with most major first party releases being in the 5-8 range.
The gist of the "big Switch games" are between 10GB~20GB, to name some:
Xenoblade 3 - 18.7GB (with the expansion)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - 17.9GB (Japanese SKU with the English version installed)
Alien Isolation - 17.7GB
Dying Light - 16.4GB
Fire Emblem Engage - 16.5GB
Kingdom Come Deliverance: Royal Edition - 14.8GB
Ace Combat 7 - 14.1GB
Dragon Quest XI S - 14GB
Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance - 13.6GB
Fire Emblem Three Houses - 12.5GB
Bioshock Remastered - 12.5GB
Batman Arkham City - 12.3GB
Red Dead Redemption - 11.6GB
Nier Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition - 10.9GB
For some of those titles also available on PC, it's nice to see the large disparity in filesize.
Only a few rare ones go above that range which, to my personal experience and knowledge, are The Witcher 3 Complete Edition, Hatsune Miku Project Diva (with all the DLCs) and Fuuraiki 4 (with the HD motion picture upgrade and the neighbor region DLCs). The last two titles in particular are 50GB each on the console.

And yeah it's not like the Playstation Vita days where the storage was a precious resource because of the proprietary memory cards being limited to 32GB (64GB if importing one from Japan). The Switch can technically support up to 2TB microSDs by comparison, although the highest amount currently available in the market is 1.5 TB.

I do have one hundred titles easily after years of owning the console, albeit almost all of them are digital in my case.
If you have a large scope of vidya interest and aren't actually allergic to Japanese games, all while treating the Switch as your main platform, it's not difficult to reach 100.

There are plenty of Japanese visual novels that didn't have pornography content in the first place, see Memories Off, Witch on the Holy Night, Hayarigami, Detective Jack the Ripper, Little Busters, Flowers, Paranormasight, Aoi Shiro/Akai Ito, etc. Whereas the ones that did have such content (such as Grisaia and Eve Burst Error) aren't the ones you read for this reason due of their sheer story length. Their console ports tend to add extra content (new characters, routes and endings) to compensate too.

Mobile is fucking with my ability to rate this horrifying but, just so you know, the idea of you playing waifu simulators around your family is horrifying to me, vagoogoos or no.

Most VNs any romance plot is woven deep into a much bigger story. Even a game that is straight up eroge out of context like If My Heart Had Wings spends an awfully long time talking about rebuilding and testing aircraft, weather phenomenon, and etc.

Yeah, if you don't have them elsewhere, since there's a ton of ports.

I remember hearing that hentai was often added because the market expected it, not because it actually improved games.

There are a lot of good games that only came out in either the EU, Japan or Asia.
I looked around at my older consoles and I think on average each generation ended with 20 or 30 games; plus a few purchases after to round out some missing bits or grab a deal.

But not every generation is equal. I probably have 100 DS/3DS games and maybe 50 SNES games. And I did like those systems best.

I have >100 PS2 games.

Weirdly happen to have exactly 63 DS and SNES games. If I was unrestricted and bought everything that looks at least interesting I would probably have nearly 300 SNES games, around 200 DS, PS2, 3DS, and PS1 games, and less from there on other platforms.

IDK maybe it's early to say this and maybe it's getting a big boost from ports, but it really seems to me like Switch is on another level.

I have a good 60-70 N64 games. I'd say my average is around 20-30 for other systems much like yourself.

It gets tricky when you get to systems where smaller digital only titles were introduced. Do I count and indie game I bought for $10 on Wii U as a Wii U title in my library? Do I count Super Mario World on Virtual Console as a title in my Wii U library? Do I count the port of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag?

If I count the indie game, why wouldn't I count Super Mario World? It is of a similar cost. If it is because it was not originally released for Wii U, neither was Black Flag, but I think most people would count that.

If bought Skyrim, Mario Wonder, Mario Kart 8, Galacticon and Murtop for Switch, should I realistically say I have five Switch games in my collection or three?

I think when a first person says "I have 300 Switch games" and a second person reacts with disbelief, the first is probably considering every little indie title that cost $5-$20 and the second person is not.

I can't tell you how happy I am to have a Wii with Lost Winds, its expansion, the entire BIT.TRIP series and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles My Life as a King, plus DLC installed.

My Life as a King? Pirate it for your Dolphin. That is how I replay it anymore anyway. Really great game that needs a proper sequel.
