Do it, those look cool.

Someone clearly never had a ds lite. I've seen joycons break, but I've never seen an actual switch break.
My friend's speakers stopped working. It's still useable via dock and headphones portably. Not quite broken but I've never seen that happen to another handheld, maybe diminished quality or something.

That reminded ME that I still have to play Superstar Saga.
It's very good and still holds up incredibly well. Too bad it's not on NSO, I don't think. That'd have been a well-timed drop during the Direct.

My criticisms of Nintendo:
  1. Localization staff at NoA are idiots.
  2. They spend too much effort re-releasing stuff.
  3. Needing to pay for online saves backup
1. Amen.
2. The opposite is true imo
3. Plus the fact they delete your data after a short grace period is bullshit

I don't think Switch breaks that record without the Lite getting a huge price cut, equivalent to later versions of the 2DS. Will Nintendo do it? Can they do it, even, while getting a profit from the additional units sold?

Honestly I feel like a good solution would be for Nintendo to come out with two new consoles, both backwards compatible with the Switch. One would effectively be a Switch Micro with a smaller screen the the lite, it might have a different name to distinguish itself from the other console, which would be like a more powerful full switch with its dock. The full Switch 2 would play all Switch and Switch Micro games (and developers would be encouraged to target the Switch Micro when their games don't need the power or features of the Switch 2)

You're right -- that's certainly not what made it popular, but it was really, really fucking funny.
It literally forced Nintendo to make shock absorbing covers for the Wii remotes and make them standard.

It's unlikely but not impossible (and is something I'm hoping for) that they could release another revision; both GB Micro & New Nintendo 2DS XL both released after their respective successors did.

Aside from that they'd need price drops, Switch Lite could probably easily hit $149 and still be profitable.

I dont understand how that fucking happens. Theres a warning that comes up everytime u start game to remind u that theres a strap for u to put ur hand through so that way if the Wii remote slips out of ur hand it wont hit anyone because its straped to your wrist. And yet retards still somehow broke their fucking TVs.

Well for starters the strap broke and Nintendo had to recall it. Plus the people who broke their tv are people who couldn't read instructions or get it through their head to not actually throw the remote.

Well fuck. Took a looksee if this is true, it is

Please explain how a third-party headline (written by a Metroid series news site, not Nintendo or Retro) from nearly 3 years ago, regarding a game now infamous for its development troubles and complete restart of production, is in any way definitive or indicative of the final product.

I'll save the concern for when writing staff is outright datamined or announced by Nintendo themselves.

Except that restart was from Bamco, not Retro, and the dangerhair in question is employed there since 2020 which is easily confirmable
Is there any hardcore proof she's working on Prime 4 specifically save for a headline? I don't mean to sound like a fag about it, I just don't want to give up on the game this quickly. The possibility that a dangerhair is writing for a title isn't out of the question, but I have a hard time believing she'll really be able to do much considering
  • she's probably not alone on the writing staff
  • she's working on a big title for an eastern company that isn't explicitly trying to pander to the west (as far as we know)
  • there's no guarantee she's even working on the game given the length of time between that headline and any definitive showcases of Prime 4 (you could've released an entire game within the time it took from that headline to the recent trailer, and I have a hard time believing there wasn't some heavy reworking of things going on in those 3 years)
I think it's a little silly to immediately dismiss Prime 4 in its entirety based off this one title like a few people in the thread are already doing. Hell, it's silly to even raise alarm bells. A small red flag will do for now, and even that should be taken with a grain of salt until there's more obvious confirmation of its validity.
