Don’t pin this on fanboys, It’s much more likely someone trying to sabotage Nintendo’s reputation. Or some anti-emulation sperg who thinks roms bring down the value of their physical collection.

Speaking of which, Sakurai posted a video about his game/console collection that’s so massive and organized that it would easily put anyone on this site to shame.
On one hand, it’s crazy impressive and you can tell this guy has a deep passion for games. On the other hand, so much of this would be made redundant by just emulating.

I’m phoneposting right now, but pretend the top panel is Sakurai’s collection and the bottom panel is emulator chads.

But that's not nearly as fun! But I understand that if you don't already have a lot of this plastic junk, acquiring it is a daunting, expensive task.

Along those same lines, a lot of movie buffs would probably look at me sideways for keeping dozens of TBs in RAID to store all my films instead of having shelves of DVD boxes and VHS tapes.

Bravely Default and its sequel are some of the biggest piles of shit since the Clinton era.
Bravely Default feels like what you'd get if you had an AI design a JRPG. On paper they have everything I like, but in practice they're so painfully generic I can't stand more than a couple hours of either.

I enjoyed the 3ds entries well enough, but I also played them when I was working from home during the lockdowns, so that definitely colors my experience with them.
