You completely missed the point. Explain why Nintendo would want to restrict the Switch 2 from outputting 4K when everything else from the last eight years, including its own predecessor, can do it.
The Switch cannot do it without destroying battery life. Battery restrictions still exist and when people say 4K they mean on new releases, which your video shows none of (because Switch can't handle it.) Your pretend DLSS stuff is not true 4K and does not count.

Doesn't seem like it's doing too well.

Pain...

It is actually getting close to the same scores as previous entries. Endless Ocean is a 7/10 series and has been reviewed as such since inception. This entry seems to be in between the scores of Everblue and Endless Ocean.

That said, it seems to lack content, skipping single player for a more multiplayer experience, which will definitely leave fans, especially Blue World fans, disappointed.

My entire argument is “the Switch is capable of pushing a 4K video output, therefore obviously its 7-8 years newer successor will also be able to push it”. Your counterargument is “w-well that 3840x2160 video output coming from the Switch isn’t REALLY 4K because… uh… it just isn’t… and that means hardware that’s 7-8 years newer also doesn’t count because… uh… it just doesn’t”.

Outputting 4k and rendering at 4k are completely different things
The video shows that v2/oled switch revision was capable of rendering switch content (Pokemon Lets Go) at 4K if massively overclocked.

The v2/oled extended battery revision basically could’ve been a switch pro if they hadn’t prioritized the 50% battery increase. Not 4K, but 1080p 30 fps stable Zelda would’ve been easily doable at v1 battery life.

Well, V2 was actually an anti-piracy measure and I don't know if it would have cone out otherwise. They definitely wouldn't have let V1 hang on as a pirate device while V2 was restricted to being a Pro.

Also, in handheld mode at least, I think battery life was a lot more important than 1080p. When I used to use my V1 in handheld mode I would regularly hit thue battery limit.

Yeah they definitely wanted V1 gone. V2’s battery life is awesome, but I would’ve really appreciated the extra power.

Games like Bayonetta 3 could’ve really used the boost.

Obviously 1080p on a 720p screen is wasteful, but it was just a benchmark I saw done, you could probably just do 720p 60 fps instead.

Either way, Switch 2 should be really nice looking in portable mode for first party titles.

Sounds about right. The first one was mediocre and I loved it. Endless Ocean fans know what they are getting into. Can't wait!
Yeah from the reviews I've read so far it seems like none of the reviewers have played the Wii games. They're all complaining about how you don't do anything except swim around and occasionally solve a puzzle, and just spend the whole time looking at fish. Bro that's EXACTLY WHAT I WANT. If I wanted to play Subnautica, then I'd fucking play Subnautica.

They made the right call, battery on the v1 was borderline unacceptable. On the OLED it's fantastic.

The creator of Spark the Electric Jester 3 seems to be teasing a Switch port.

The Princess Peach game was very fun. I don't think Nintendo ever compromised Peach's femininity like certain people in this thread suggested. If anything, the mermaid, figure skater, and chef costumes had the exact opposite effect.

Everyone here should try it.

Move over fags, the best game of 2024 - no, the entire decade - has just been announced.

Ready Player One FUNKO POPS: THE VIDEO GAME
I remember hearing about this, believe it was originally supposed to be a LEGO game and that WB was working on it.

Looking at the trailer, it just looks like a poor-mans version (literally) of LEGO Dimensions, using the new mechanics from the latest LEGO Star Wars.

The Peach game really shows that Nintendo knows how to make a great female character. Figure Skater Peach was extremely graceful.

The final-final boss outfit might've been a bit much, but it worked.

For so much of this I couldn't even recognized the IPs. God Funkos suck.
Most of the IPs are not that worthwhile since its Universal, and many that are are hindered by not having the most iconic characters. I find it odd that they went all in on Universal properties, yet there is no sign of anything from Illumination or DreamWorks. I found this list of IPs from an article, and really, does anyone even care about half the properties that make up the list:
  • Jurassic World
  • The Umbrella Academy
  • Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
  • The Thing
  • Masters of the Universe
  • Hot Fuzz
  • Battlestar Galactica
  • Invincible
  • Shaun of the Dead
  • Nope
  • Back to the Future
  • Five Nights at Freddy’s
  • Xena Warrior Princess
  • Jaws
  • Jurassic Park
  • Voltron
  • Knight Rider
  • Chucky
  • The Mummy
  • Megan
It feels like that last year of LEGO Dimensions where they clearly gave up on it being a kids game, and just flooded it with outdated 80s IPs that the target audience wouldn't know or care about such as A-Team or, ironically, Knight Rider.
