True. Plus, in terms of first party ttitles, they only have Princess Peach Showtime, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD and the Paper Mario TTYD remaster currently announced. Either there's stuff they're holding back or we'll be playing a new generation of Nintendo console come Christmas.

Yeah, I agree. I replayed DK '94 on a GBC recently for the first time in what's got to be 20 or 25 years and it holds up great. I remember not liking Mario vs. Donkey Kong when it came out, and I played the free demo for the Switch version, and tbh I find it mind boggling anyone would review it and give it anything above a 6/10. It's hard to put your finger on any one particular thing, but it just feels very soulless and rigid. It's like a lot of those Yoshi's Island sequels like Yoshi's New Island where there's nothing really wrong with them, but it feels like they're just kind of there to pad out the library.

I completely agree, except I'd give it a 7/10 today just because standards are so low now. In its time it was a 5/10 because GBA was flooded with awesome games, and so were other systems. Now? MvDK is probably one of the better releases this year.

Problem is they don't want to forfeit the positive association with the Switch branding, which makes sense. I think the best way to keep that is to tack on a gimmick and name it Switch [gimmick], like 3DS was a DS in 3D.
 
It's pretty much guaranteed that this year the Switch is gonna surpass the PS2s total sales and become the best selling console of all time, the coping and seething from the Sony bros is going to be on a whole other level from anything that we have ever seen before when the news drops.

Not sure if the switch has 15 million this year in it, 2022 it did 19.6 million and from what I can tell has slowed down since then. Doubt Nintendo will stop making them when the Switch 2 comes out, plus a low price for it will help it as well push it past the PS2 numbers, just don't expect it until 2025 to get past that.

I think they'll need good bundles and a killer swan song to make it happen at all, especially if Switch 2 releases this year.
