On the subject of games from the N64/Gamecube era, anybody else remember this little gem?

This was my favorite game back in the day, and is still a personal favorite now. I would to see this game get either an HD port or a sequel, but the odds of that ever happening are slim to none.

If anyone here hasn't played, I highly recommend trying it out via emulator. It's a flawed game, but it's a unique experience. Not to mention it also has a good soundtrack. That title theme is burned into my brain.

Still hoping for an HD port of 1080° Avalanche someday. Meanwhile 1080° Snowboarding is being added to Switch Online sometime this year.
Ah Cubivore. Nintendo of America had so little faith in the concept, Atlus had to take over publishing it for America, even though it was a Nintendo game. Doubt Nintendo will ever even acknowledge that game. It doesn't help that Saru Brunei, the developer that helped bring it to life, also, like so many others, went out of business.

1080 Avalanche was developed by Nintendo Software Technology, who are a support studio for the most part now. If Gamecube games are ever brought to a Nintendo online service of some kind, Avalanche may be acknowledged again.

For what it's worth, the pig rom Cubivore was a spirit in Smash Bros. Ultimate:

And before that, there was a Cubivore trophy back in Melee:

So far, I'm seeing on the NS fan circles that people are now currently trying to see if LOZ: Tears of the Kingdom and Metroid: Prime Remastered is a good investment for the Switch.
Personally, I would get both, but for someone that never played the Metroid series, I'd say to stick with Breath of The Wild and then get Link's Awakening.

As for ports that should be done for the Nintendo Switch, I'd really like to see them do something with Super Luigi U. if possible, that is.

Anyone want to place bets on when the next Nintendo Direct/Live Showcase will be?
I'm betting on the last weekend of June at the latest. I think it'll probably be sometime between the 21st and the 28th otherwise.
Nintendo has been kind of unpredictable as of late, but it seems like the entire industry is coalescing into June this year and I can kind of see why. Summer break's just started for the kids and otherwise it allows for good virtue signaling because pride. It's also a very good sweet spot between reveal and release when regarding late-year releases: 5 or 6 months is the perfect timespan to let a hype train gain just enough momentum to drive sales but not lose enough steam to make the game irrelevant.

>buy a $60 gameboy color game and not the amazing $40 prime remaster
retard alert

The music in the remake was fucking awful and gross. And yet the original played badly enough in late game that I put it down and was done 3/4ths of the way through. Most overrated Zelda ever?
I had to install a mod to force disable the annoying tilt shift depth of field. The oracle games are better

Nerrel released his review of Tears of the Kingdom:

And my God, the Switch is overextending itself to handle this game. This console truly is the first console that I feel has limited Nintendo themselves with its lack of performance. I can't remember the last time a Nintendo game ran so poorly on its own hardware...other than the Switch version of Breath of the Wild.

Meanwhile, Nintendo have, as previously stated, dropped the bomb that they are holding a direct tomorrow. And everybody and their momma are putting out their predictions. I think OJ from Player Essence has the most down to Earth and best formatted prediction video:
But what do you guys think? What are your predictions?
