Here's the lil secret most people don't want to admit: all sticks being used by console manufacturers right now are utter dogshit. The Switch uses the same ministick type as the Vita and they both have the same exact issues with accuracy slip, and the PS/Xbox controllers have been plagued by accuracy slip even though they're the standard stick size type (moreso on the Sony end of things, wonder if they fell back to crappy Korean suppliers like they did during the PS2 and 3). Something happened in the past 10 to 15 years where stick build quality fell down a chasm, but because Nintendo's in the same position as Apple as the major face of an entire industry people use them as the goto example for two minutes hate.
Oh I don't play anything other than Nintendo systems or PC.

I prefer quality games and/or keyboards and mice. Either way I'm loaded so I just buy new joycons/pro controllers when that shit breaks and throw the broken ones into a old Walmart bag in the basement.

I was actually wondering what changes they forced Illumination to make.
I honestly have no clue. When Illumination was set to do a Mario movie of their own, they have to give a seal of approval from Nintendo themselves (no pun intended), which explains the whole reference shit.

I still don't get why you posted this on the Switch thread when you can post that on the actual Mario movie thread.

I guarantee you there was a shit load of them
Especially knowing how Miyamoto feels about story
Peach being mostly competent is probably the most Illumination could get away with
(also why is this in the Switch thread)
Jack Black as Bowser is also the big highlight in the movie.

tl;dw: Dolphin's Steam release is now indefinitely postponed due to a DMCA takedown from Nintendo. Turns out, they included a private encryption key taken from the Wii itself in the source code. The key is within this file: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolp...73b0930ac4dd999/Source/Core/Core/IOS/IOSC.cpp
why are they releasing it on Steam, anyways? Can't you just add it to your library manually if you want to take screenshots/track playtime/etc?

Yea, that's actually weird.

Beats me, I guess they saw Retroarch on Steam and figured they could get away with it, but ended up painting a big target on their back.

Dolphin's always been proported to be a clean room project, especially in the wake of the 2020 leaks where things like the Wii's system source code got out, so I really really hope they clean up their act so Nintendo can't find more reasons to shut it all down.

Emulators on Steam, to me at least, make no sense whatsoever. Why involve a middleman when you can just have the emulator directly on your computer?

Or is this because of Steam Deck? Because I fail to see how an appimage that RetroArch offers for Linux would fail to work on it.

Audio Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the sound would play at an extremely high volume in certain conditions.

Additional Fixes
Fixed an issue in the main quest, “Camera Work in the Depths”, where players could not progress beyond a certain point. Downloading the update will allow players to proceed past that point. Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

>Be Nintendo
>Announce your popular handheld is dying
>People flock to mod the thing to get the games they want
>See this as a bad thing
>Scramble to release a firmware update AS IT'S DYING to prevent people from modding the handheld while also breaking current homebrews.

Seriously, fuck Nintendo
