Bandai Namco has released a release date trailer for SD Gundam Battle Alliance:

The game releases worldwide on August 25. There's also a demo of the game being released next week, but the Swtich demo won't release till some time after.

According to some of the commenters on the article, the Japanese version of the game has English menus and subtitles, so the full game should have it as well. Also apparently so far only Asia is confirmed to be getting a physical release of the game, looks like it might be download only in other territories.

Wow I wasn't expecting 3 smash reveals in Xenoblade 3
smash leak he smashed 3 of them.png

I just finished the demo of GrimGrimoire OnceMore on Switch, I've heard of the strategy/RTS game before of this remaster but I never got the chance to actually play it. The demo let you play up to the second day of the first week loop - where you're introduced to demon units (and the unit upgrade tree after the stage).

This and Xenoblade 3 are definitively in my must-play list, and there is only one day apart between their release dates (July 28th & 29th).

But I don't enjoy the combat!! :(
Bahamut Lagoon is the better of Square's SNES Japan only titles compared to LAL. I figure it's only a matter of time until that gets a modern remaster, especially if they're doing Dragon Quest and already did the 6 Final Fantasies.. Trials of Mana even got brought over twice.

I can't imagine what took them so long, it's basically free money they left on the table for decades.

lol, that was the last game Byuu/Near/David Ginder translated (and claimed all the credit for himself) before going dark. I tried it out, it's a bit shit tbh. The protagonist of that game is named "Byuu".

It mixed SRPG stuff with traditional turn based.

Like they tried to combine front mission with final fantasy.

SwitchPlanet did their favorite 25 open world games on the Switch.
Favourite? That just looks like they sorted the metacritic scores from best to worst and showed some gameplay footage.

Anyway, from recent experience I'd say some of these don't really work on Switch, at least not handheld, docked is a bit better. I played Dragon's Dogma and Dying Light and the small screen really does them no favours. I think a lot of it is the drab grey/brown art direction. I never had any issue with BotW in handheld and think it looks great but those two kind of look like ass. I would assume some of the other big 3d games suffer from the same issue on Switch - technically playable but probably better on other platforms.

Also, I don't have any motion sickness issues playing games like some people but playing Dying Light on Switch is the closes I got to feeling sick playing vidya.

Don't you do it, SSj_Ness!

Grab it on PC it's better.
It's pretty much the same game either way, and if I recall the tech analysis video from Tech Foundry, it's a pretty decent port on Switch too with the DLCs included in. The devs in charge also added a framerate cap and a few optimization patches afterwards.

There is apparently a Definitive Edition coming out soon as a standalone release on Switch but owners of the Platinum version can upgrade for free.
