Mario Maker 3D is going to be really hard to pull off because Maker is made by the 2D team, who have little overlap with the 3D team. Unless you think that Maker 3D is going to be the follow-up to Odyssey even though Maker 2 vastly underperformed.

Mario Maker 2 was redundant and didn't add enough, even taking stuff away, plus I think it was full price for essentially an enhanced port. I think a 3D Mario Maker would be a lot more interesting to people and sell better.

I'm actually surprised they didn't put out Zelda Maker, it seemed like they were toying with the idea in the Link's Awakening remake. It would give Mario Maker a break too.

Not only did it not add enough, it took a lot away, since Switch has worse online than Wii U did and the game was originally built with the Wii U touch pad in mind. Also lost out on a lot of the small extra post-launch details that the previous game had. I'm not surprised that it didn't catch people's imaginations in the same way. Also, not to be too offensive to fans, but the original game was pretty much all the Wii U had that season while Switch had way better stuff to occupy us at the time.

Let's not fight over @Marissa Moira for fuck sakes. They have their opinion and you have your opinion. And you realize they do most likely play Nintendo games in addition to Sony?

they actually helped me get into atelier, the legend of heroes games, and nier so I thank them and yes Laura is great

Honestly if we should hate on anyone it should be Nintendo's Legal Department. They're vicious and as bad as Viacom deleting youtube stuff.

I am excited for Battle Network. Though I only played Megaman Battle Network 2. I wanted to play the others but just never could. I do remember being scandalized as a kid when you are in the travel episode and the old British terrorist tries blowing up the plane (when the princess of whatever land is in it and you're in a castle type dungeon or something....(also the foreign translations thing was a funny touch) tho in hindsight it did seem kind of harsh considering 9/11 and I think the final level was supposed to represent Hiroshima or something except everything was electrified?

Oh and "Ms Yae never takes long baths! It's bad for the skin!" lol.
I do remember Tips and Tricks magazine having a walkthrough for the first game. I think the girl (Meryl? May?) goes shopping and trapped on a bus like that Sandra Bullock/Keanu Reeves movie?

That's exactly what they did. The game was originally announced as a then untitled DQM game starring a young Erik, similar to how the first game starred a young Terry from DQVI and Caravan Heart starred a young Keifer from DQVII. Then there was complete radio silence for a few years before it was re-announced as Treasures.
Now if only they would announce a new Dragon Quest Builders, one that fixes the minor issues the first two games had and finally has a proper online mode where you and a friend can actually collab building things (and not just on the main hub island).

I don't remember that exact scenario. Her name is Mayl, by the way. Like E-Mail, see. And the main boy is named either Net or Lan depending on the region.... you might guess there's a theme going on.

I'm glad this collection got released. I was watching subs of the anime version (Rockman EXE) awhile back and it made me want to play them again, but the original games are so expensive now. Damn the rising prices of retro gaming.

If you want to believe that bullshit, more power to you. Moira claims to be an expert in and actively involved in everything under the sun just to look like he/she's not spouting bullshit all the time, only to consistently get caught spouting bullshit by people who are infinitely more knowledgeable about the subject, or people who are just willing to do basic google searches.

Moira's "opinions" are bad and wrong and deserved to be called out as such.

That Dragon Quest Treasures game looks neat. I hope Wario and Captain Syrup are in it.

Also leave King Moria alone. You will never be on his level.

Most of 3D mario games play completely different from each other, they would also have to adapt a bunch of stuff from the new games to the 64/Sunshine style, pretty much a bunch of gameplay elements would end in the chopping block unless they cheap out. Mario Maker itself only happened because most of the old enemies from SMB 1, 3 and World were recycled a hundred of times on the NSMB games, SMB2 and Land were both demoted to just a power-up, also they shoehorned a 3D World style on the sequel pretty much confirming they will likely never make a 3D maker.

Zelda Maker is more likely to happen though, but I doubt it will be fleshed out as Mario Maker, and will likely cheap out with just Dungeons, sad they never saw any potential on that concept while developing BOTW:

The physics in MM is the same across all styles (they use the NSMB physics since it's the one they are used to) so they can't even get it actually right in their own dimension, let alone in ours.

Hey now. Hey.

Sunshine is a floaty, imprecise mess compared to Mario 64's tight controls. They are not in the same class. Sunshine is a fine game though.
Sunshine's controls are an improvement in every way minus the removal of long-jump, which is more than made up for by a jetpack. Both control worsecthan Odyssey though.

You know, if it was literally any other character that had FLUDD, I wouldn't mind it, but the fact that it's attached to Mario is the problem.

The reason why Luigi's Mansion worked was because it wasn't trying to be a platformer, but it's own thing. That's why sucking shit up with the vaccume doesn't feel like a chore because you're solving a mystery with gameplay based around looking for treasure, hunting ghosts, and finding clues in a cramped environment not meant for jumping and running all over the place. Also Luigi is the brother with an actual personality, and he brings a lot of charm to the game with his emotions and reactions to things.

With Sunshine, it's like the game is trying to have it's cake and eat it too by combining two types of gameplay elements into one game. It's a complete pacekiller when I have to stop platforming (the thing Mario is known for) to clean multi-colored jizz off a wall/floor just to collect a coin or make an enemy appear/disappear.

A Mario Maker 3D could work if they focused on one game style- for example, only have it be in Super Mario 64 style. Considering the impact that game had, and with it being a simpler (but still fun) game, it would be easier than trying to do every style of 3D Mario gameplay in one game.

Seriously, Nigga, do you not read? This is a recent change. For fucks sake, the tweet you posted a screenshot of pointed out that the first game was uncensored. The first game was released on Switch as recently as a year ago.

Has there been any official word of casting change? I've heard seen nothing to suggest it.
Nothing yet, but scuttlebutt/potential desperate cope is that it might be a kinda infinite crisis thing with OG Bayo and grown up Cereza.

She mentioned something around the time of the first trailer that she wasn't sure she was going to voice her again.

If they seriously cast Erika Harlatcher.......lmaoooo. She is a one trick pony. Helena brought gravitas and character to the role not to mention...you know....being actually British. (Interestingly enough I've always thought Jennifer Saunders would be great at voicing an older Bayo)
