Hilarious that we're not getting FES. Probably because they knew they'd get a bunch of autistic screeching about it from their troon fans that melt down on Twitter every day. But now everyone else is bitching about the lack of overworld. Atlus just can't be bothered to make an effort. Happy 25th, Persona.

I've bought the Portal Collection and already finished the first game and half of its bonus maps (last time I've played it was around 2008 with the Orange Box which is indeed a long time ago). Portal 2 seems to lack the map editor from the PC version though, but the co-op can still be played either splitscreen or online.

It's in moonrunes because I didn't bother to change my system language but I was also curious if the game was ever dubbed in japanese (they're not).

I'll phrase it like this as someone who played Persona first with P3P.

You know those overworld sections in 5, take that, and just make it into a really basic screen like you were playing a GBA game with an 'overworld' where it is just set points. Everything else is more or less the same, the dungeon crawling is still movable and it is effectively like mementos. You lose a decent bit of immersion, but it isn't the worst as the more interesting setting is still the same aka the maze dungeon area with all the enemies. It will make the social links so much faster as a small plus because you don't have to move around a map.

Laura Bailey plays the female protagonist in P3P, so they're basically like Joker in P5.
Hmmm interesting

Yeah, a new single player Phantasy Star, one that preserves the funky aesthetic of the original series, would be a lot of fun to see. Likewise, I’d like a new Shining Force that keeps the big hair anime style of the original
The Genesis-era Shining games always struck me as having an artstyle that was kind-of anime but mostly Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears, especially with how a lot of characters were so skinny like the humans in Gummi Bears were.

Anything would be better than the dross that passes for "anime style" these days though. Remember when anime used to actually look good? Only time I see it now is when its a re-release, like the Cotton games or Langrisser (and in the latter case you have to deliberately select an 80s-90s artstyle or you get nu-Anime garbo... but I still like that they even LET you select past-era artstyles).

Dragon Quest Treasures feels like they stopped making a new DQM game 1/3rd of the way through and decided to scale shit back because it may not be able to play on an IOS/Android Device.

It is frustratingly close to looking like a competent RPG.
That's exactly what they did. The game was originally announced as a then untitled DQM game starring a young Erik, similar to how the first game starred a young Terry from DQVI and Caravan Heart starred a young Keifer from DQVII. Then there was complete radio silence for a few years before it was re-announced as Treasures.

Mario Rabbids 2 looks really good. But I have a more pressing matter to discuss right now.

This here looks like Bomberman. Which is cool. But you know what I really want? More Bomberman 64. This is like Red Faction. You have this great game idea that should be expanded and developed. But instead of doing that, you go back to making the same thing that's already been done a billion times and isn't nearly as interesting.

We're not getting FES because they lost the source code apparently and P3P is the only one that remains.

It's a similar situation to Panzer Dragoon Saga.

And I'm telling you that their policy was geared towards under aged characters, you disagreed. So I posted evidence.

This came out since around 2018 and it's been fairly consistent.
No, what I've said is that they've always had policies in place like this, going back to Playstation, and it had nothing to do with lolicon. That's a bullshit excuse Sony cooked up to justify their actions in this one instance. But even that article you quoted points out that there is a larger policy in place that affects sexual content in general. Try again, nigga.

But we have 4-5 years of examples of the policy already in place, it's been pretty much under age shit that got canned. And at this point with the changes to CERO and ESRB they're not even that far off from the regulators themselves.

It's nothing like Sony skimping out on 2D games because they felt that it wouldn't move hardware. That was something more calculated and direct. It's pretty much been relating to removing under aged characters out of compromising positions.

have you seen what the PS5 store allows?

I mean yes it's clearly crap and made by a small team, but most fan service heavy games are already crap to begin with so that's par for the course.
