Any recommendations for Switch games? Got 60 bucks of currency cards from a friend. I have most first party games worth getting. Hidden gems or even weird/shitty games that are really fun?
Mario+Rabbids kingdom battle is like 12 dollars last time I checked and is genuinely a great strategy game. Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin is a pretty interesting action RPG/Farming simulator. Dicey Dungeon is a pretty solid RPG rougelite if you can get past the art style. Into the Breach is another really good one.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a huge improvement over the first.

West of Loathing is the definition of weird/shitty but interesting. It’s a black and white stickman rpg about the Wild West.

Only bad thing about this is that you'll always have Mario on the team; which isn't inherently bad, since he's decent at dealing damage, but you only have two other slots for your teammates out of an cast of 8 characters.

Overall, it's good mix of dumb fun and kiting enemies. And you don't have to worry about incidents like this, fortunately.

XCOM2 sucks. I wish they would put Enemy Within on the Switch.

Yeah, the Switch port is about as bugged as you'd expect. But that'll probably never happen anytime soon because it feels like they port these games at random.

And also, the snake tits might have something to do with their decision making.

Just put Fenyx Rising in and there's a 20 minute patch to be installed. This is pissin me off, Switch games aren't supposed to do this, Ubisoft.

And it wants me to use a fucking Ubisoft account too. Now I have to fuck around switching my Switch to offline mode to avoid it all. God damn French...

Lol, you think it’s just Ubisoft. Someone doesn’t know about the 2.4 GB patch you were supposed to install on release day for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. It’s probably even more now because they keep trying to fix the same bugs over and over. Also there’s STILL some features straight-up missing until February, so those will add EVEN MORE to the patch size.

Wow, I heard those games were shit, and had no burning desire to play a Pokemon remake, and avoided them. Really glad I did now. How are the sales numbers, did they flop?

I have quite a few titles I enjoy.

If you want a cheap but really good title, I will always recommend Rayman Legends. Ubisoft did extremely well with that title, to bad timing killed it.

CTR Nitro Fueled is also really good. I was addicted to it for half a year when they held Grand Prix. Even without that, the game is still really good and a challenging, but fair title for Switch. I personally hold it in higher regard than MK8.

Team Sonic Racing is a fine title. It is a budget game at heart, and in saying that it functions. Transformed will always be a better game given the variety, but Team is competent and carries over the smooth driving of those titles while adding a decently made team system. Also, the graphics are really nice, going back to Transformed made me realize how much of an update happened.

Catherine is a port, but a really good game nonetheless. I am glad we got it over Persona 5 if I am being honest. It is a unique puzzle title with a great story and some good atmosphere. It is certainly up there as Atlus’ best.

I have a soft spot for LEGO titles as I grew up with them. That said, I would only recommend LEGO City and LEGO DC Supervillains. Both have a unique charm to them where the developers wanted to try something new. Other Switch LEGO titles are cookie cutter and just plain shitty in many areas.

Super Bomberman R is a good game after the updates. It is not incredible, but for the usual $10 it goes for, you may as well try it.

I guess I wanted to avoid Nintendo titles as to not regurgitate every other list.

Beat Hades twice now noticed it chugged a bit on some of the heavy encounter rooms but still playable, pretty good game for the switch I like these fast pick up and play games on a handheld

Tell me more about this heresy you spout. (I liked the CTR remake)
Personally, I just find Mario Kart to safe. MK8 is fine, but after playing All-Stars Transformed I just find it boring in comparison. Transformed had evolving levels, more difficulty, and a faster pace, not to mention a better character roster.

CTR took me by surprise. I love the very skill heavy and fast nature of it. Stuff like Time Trials are genuinely difficult in CTR, while in MK8 they are a walk in the park. CTR is just more fun to complete and has way more content than MK8.

Mario Kart is a great entry point to the Kart Racing genre, but I find the speed and challenge of Sonic and Crash to be more rewarding, mostly for single player.

Personally, I believe MK peaked with Wii and DS. Both had a faster feel, great rosters and tracks, and they were not afraid to embrace chaos. MK nowadays is to balanced to really have a good time completing it.

You ever played Excite Truck or ExciteBots? Check them out.

Does anybody know if the Expansion Pack emulation has improved at all? I was honestly on the fence over whether to buy it, but it was contingent on the emulations being good quality. I wasn’t surprised to hear that the emulation was bad, just disappointed. Has it gotten any better?
