There isn't a whole lot of saturn games to propose for NSO once you discard the old adaptations of anime licenses
Bug!, Bug Two, Clockwork Night 1 & 2, Fighting Vipers, Fighters Megamix, any of the old Virtua Fighter games from 1 - 3, Nights Into Dreams... those are just off the top of my head.

These are all Sega exclusive properties that are fun as fuck to play. Fighting Vipers got a port on the PS2 but it was Japan only, and Knights got a PC/PS2-3/360 port, but the controls were botched as fuck (Saturn version = perfect circular movement, while the ports controls have this weird square movement when turning around)

Playing a Virtua Fighter game would physically harm nuGamers.

Did the N64 and Sega games come out? I see people on my friend list playing them. I wonder if the controllers are for sale yet...

Any impressions of the new Mario Party leak yet? I'm curious what they inevitably did to fuck it up.

EDIT: lol apparently the entire game leaked

Meh. It's not much compared to certain publishers (like Squeenix with Kingdom Hearts) that are trying to push cloud gaming on consoles, where you need a constant internet connection and cannot even get a hold of the game files regardless your system is even hacked. That's the ultimate goal of "you don't own shit" truly aimed for even if technical issues are still in the way.

that thing really bothers me lol. there's also the xbox gamepass/PSNow which i can see it having short term advantages...essentially getting full demo access to a plethora of games which if you really like one you can pull the trigger on it. 'plethora' in this case is also like 100+ games many of which are full AAA titles.

In this case though the 'own nothing' part comes with the ability to play through an entire catalog of games...95% of which can be done with in a week. 120$ a year to access 100+ titles including some brand new releases (from what ive been told) vs 50$ to access retro titles from 25 years ago.

Turns out the emulation implementation for the new n64 games is hilariously bad. That Mario kart audio is probably the last thing a man hears before he dies.
wonder if they outsourced the ports. Only time I've seen n64 ports get fucked in the past is from microsoft with banjo. it's kinda odd with nintendos n64 ports/emulation has been solid enough since gamecube only for this to be the one time the ports are unplayable. Granted, the gamecube/wiiware majora's mask had a glitch that could freeze the game but aside from that there wasn't much other breakages I can think of in terms of official n64 ports till now.

From what people are saying it has to do with the way Nintendo implements their multiplayer netcode. It demands absolute and flawless synchrony between clients, and if any packets are lost or latency is high, all emulation stops on each client until everyone is back in sync. That’s why the music and sound is so borked.

This is why companies either invest a long term internal emulator to use in various projects like M2, or they just modify open source emulation with credit
