Looks like a phone game. I don't usually play those and my flip phone couldn't run them even if I wanted.

Also Among Us is a less good version of Werewolf/Mafia. Why play something that is lesser?

Define realistic. Most decent looking Switch games struggle 1080p while docked, and what unit Bloomberg is reporting also still only outputs 720p handheld.

It doesn't support 4k rendering, it only upscales to 4k without throwing a fit. This isn't a Switch Pro, it's a new revision that still looks externally the same. Plus, no way they're making a radically different unit when every other manufacturers are having issues crapping out products. Nvidia is struggling to make 30 series, they sure ain't going to go out of their way to make a snowflake Tegra just for Nintendo.

This also loops back into something I talked about in the past: Just what percentage of the Switch userbase actually plays on their TV? The Lite makes up the majority, and that's still a dinkly 720p screen.
Realistic as in the story is almost certainly true, whereas previous ones were vague, noncredible, bullshit.

I don't want a bigger screen. Or more power for that matter.

I want cheaper controllers. Oh and they should also be functional and not randomly develop a crippling flaw. Oh and I want Satoru Iwata to be alive again.

Also, where on earth did you get the idea that the Lite makes up a majority of Switches. There's apparently 13.5 million of them out there after two years of sales while the regular Switch, on top of selling 28 million in that time, also has an additional 2 years of having the market to itself, pushing the total to north of 66 million units. Or in other words, less than 20 percent of Switches are Switch Lites. Also the Switch Lite is dogshit and it sells best only when regular Switches are sold out and people are forced to settle.

We all wish that were possible. I know it’s autistic as hell, but I can’t help but tear up a bit when I remember how many of the games I absolutely adored as a kid had his involvement.

Iwata was the guy who managed the decline of Nintendo. Things sucked more under him than not sucking.

n64 was ambitious with mario 64 but every console that came after was gimmick laden and wound up crippling games with weird bullshit.

WHy do we want 4K Nintendo consoles again?

They already take 5+ years to make games without the modern excuse of "Muh 4K" that western devs now use for bloated dev times.
The menu will be 4K, but over its lifetime a total of three first party games and five third party games will run at dynamic 1440p 60fps on it.

I don't need 4k, but not having your 3rd party library gimped because the system just can't deal with it would be nice.
I mean its cute that it can "output in 4K" but it doesn't sound like the system will be significantly more powerful. I took that to mean stuff like the netflix app could show 4k throughput.

I also don't give a damn about 4k graphics, I'd rather have more draw distance/less pop-in.

They can't even regularly do that on real console systems with not bullshit infrastructure let alone any type of switch that still is straddling between console and handheld.
The Switch is the worst of both worlds. Not powerful enough for a console and a Game Gear experience in portable mode. TBH I would have bought a Switch if it was a proper console.
I'm sure they know, otherwise they wouldn't have made a Switch "Lite".

The history of videogame consoles have also proved many times that being the strongest hardware available doesn't equal in becoming the most successful. The 8th gen was a bit of the exception to that rule, which deluded some people into thinking the PS4 was the "winner" thanks to its hardware and not because of the marketing fuck-ups from the competition.

It's just like the whole deal of framerate being completely overblown since the past decade, because a lot of games have gotten so bad and not-fun that people need to try to justify their purchases on this factor that wasn't significant at all back when games were actually good two or three decades ago.

Assuming the rumor of the new model ever comes true, I'd rather see a better dock with a foam layer around the edges to prevent the tablet to wobble inside, or a tempered screen glass for a more practical outdoor use.
