Eh, given how poor the last Star Fox game was, which attempted something new with the controls along with being a pseudo-remake, I guess they felt this would be the time to ease newcomers in via an actual remake, not just a better looking or different controlling one.

Still though, it would be nice to have something different. Even so, I'm honestly intrigued to see how exactly they reimagine the game, what with actually including things like cutscenes and the like.

I mean they have to at least make it better than Zero, which is not exactly that hard to accomplish. The only thing worth salvaging from that game is it going super slomo when you pass head-on with Wolf during a duel.

I guess that, given how big the install base is for the Switch, this is their way of reintroducing the series to a newer audience. You know, start simple before you go all experimental on them.

What in the holy shit are they thinking? This is what the 4th remake of Star Fox 64?! I get Star Fox Zero was absolute dogshit but do we have to REMAKE 64 AGAIN?

I like the weird taxonomical look they all have and it’s always a plus to see gay faggot furries get BTFO’d.
You mean "taxidermical", no?

That is a good meme.

Better than nothing I guess but my God the total creative bankruptcy in this industry is staggering. Make something new for fuck's sake.
No, it isn't.

Or, and hear me out on this, an online bundle. Something like 20 bucks for a few older classics.

If only James Rolfe kept making big budget movies instead of cucking to Screenwave, if only...
Nintendo has been pissing me off lately like nothing else. The Thousand Year Troon, the frankly ridiculous price of the Switch 2 and it's games, the lacking line up of said Switch 2....but when I heard rumors about a new Star Fox game, I got thinking about all of the ways they could evolve the on-rails gameplay. Maybe they'll bring back Miyu or Krystal! .... only for it to literally be 64 again, and the characters looking worse on top of that....I think this is it. The event horizon. The point of no return. The point where I realize that the Nintendo I grew up with....the Nintendo I loved.....is gone. And it's never coming back. Truly one of the darkest blackpills.
If this is your big "The Nintendo I knew and loved is gone" moment is this and not anything else they did since the Gamecube, then I got some bridges to the real life Hotel Transylvania in Kansas to sell you.

Also given that the new StarFox is going to be $60 minimum with no chance of sales, here's a fun one for the "Nintendo died with Iwata/Reggie" crowd.

"Reggie Fils-Aimé Defends Nintendo’s Full-Price Forever Policy, Pointing to Kyoto Roots Most Gamers Never Consider"

TL;DR: "Well they're based in Japan and they want to make the most completest games ever so no discounts!"

Guess that high price, no discount mentality would have stayed if Reggie was still in NoA, possibly if Iwata was alive too.

Miyamoto says they aren't making a new f-zero game because they ran out of ideas but then releases the 5th remake in the last 20 years of the same shitty game.
Did 2 and assault/command rape miyamoto's mom or something?

>Command comes out and sucks ass
>ten years of silence (save for a remake of 64)
>Zero comes out which is just a shittier remake of 64 but with one of the most godawful control schemes I have ever experienced in my life
>another decade of silence
>yet another 64 remake where it looks like Nintendo HIRED THAT MAN

Yeah at this point I think it's for the best that F-Zero stays dead and buried.
