They might as well remake the E reader.
amiibo are essentially the new e-readers.
They give you special content or similar/likewise content that you can't normally get (sometimes a cosmetic change but still exclusive content), they're of characters in the games, and they come in more than just figurines. They even come in cards.

Will last for five minutes before kids screaming since cardboard is meant to be shred apart by kids. Or cats
If you have 2 kids and a cat living under the same roof, not even a tank would survive. Wireless controllers for consoles were the biggest money savers for parents with 2 kids ever made. Adding cardboard, strings and all kinds of shit to a console is an abismal idea to any parent.

imagine paying for instructions on how to fold cardboard game accessories. good grief

For only $80, your child can cosplay as the thing a Quarter Pounder comes in.

Well hopefully kids will love it. If Lego is any indication kids love building shit.

I'm watching 3 men sit around for hours building stupid shit with cardboard, and they're having a terrible time.

gonna bump because i saw this on youtube.

Nintendo featured BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY himself for their nintendo labo ad.

great. now im tempted to get labo because its bill nye approved.

I used to think Labo was merely cynical, but now that Nye is involved it seems downright sinister.

Does Nintendo know that Nye is a devisive figure who seeks to educate children about the pleasures of anal stimulation?

Its just nostaligia, they want Nye for who he WAS back in the 90's.

At this rate I'm only surprised that people arent scalping up Labo stuff.

I wouldn't be surprise if it wasn't a test for Nintendo to see they could sell cardboard in limited qualities to make people fight for it.
Nintendo fans can just be that nutty (or really .

Whats funny to me is how the Wii had many different Wiimote peripherals, all of them a common plastic. My local Dollar Store had quite a few extra ones for just $1 a pop if not less. Labos not far off from that.

I get that Labo is just a "kids thing", but it aint the kids that're forking over $70.
