I seem to remember it being so and having Googled the Zelda wiki, it says that the statue is of OoT Link, which I definitely recalled being true from my ~of the time~ WW playthrough.

Zelda wiki is where all timeline bullshit came from in the first place. Including the Stalfos from TP being OOT link and Dark Timeline bullshit.

Yeah, that's the right way to look at it. After all, the name of the series is literally "The Legend of Zelda"

Therefore, none of it should be taken as literal, and random stories about the Hero of Time barging into people's homes and breaking their pots likely came from idiots who accidentally broke theirs and demanded a refund because they're too clumsy and just blamed it all on Hyrule Jesus

but then the stories kept getting passed down throughout generations and now we have stories today that depict the Hero of Time getting bored and smashing pots and stealing people's rupees and bombs that they keep in them for some reason

Even though this game has floating islands hiiiiigh above the clouds, a robot that looks like it could easily fit both BOTW and Skyward Sword, and somewhat Skyward Sword-esc time-shifting abilities by the Glowy Hand. Even a possibility of traveling 10,000 years back into the past, which fits more with Skyward Sword's traveling back towards it's ancient times that were thousands of years into the past rather then a mere seven years like in Ocarina.

It wouldn't be as annoying if these types of people didn't show that they always have a perpetual hardboner for this one Zelda game from their childhoods. They always go back to this game being 'revolutionary' for Zelda even though the only 'revolutionary' thing it really did was rehash the plot from A Link to the Past and make it 3D. Even the 3D was weak, we had Quake I and II, and Half-Life that were already out by then, and they still did 3D way better.

Man, this takes me back to the mid 2000s, when every single Zelda game had to be related to OoT somehow, that was nearly 20 years ago... and Ocarinafags still have not moved on. Kind of scary to think that most of those people are probably well over 30 years old right now.
