8-degrees of motion is perfectly fine for what 3D World is attempting to do. It's not odyssey with big expansive worlds where you're hunting down collectibles, it's small controlled levels with the traditional get to the flag structure.

This so much. I love collecting Nintendo shit like the NES/SNES Classic but even as a physical collector that game and watch crap is ridiculous. I'd rather would've had a Nintendo Gameboy classic or something.

From what I've heard, 3D world will have online co-op which I will buy day one as ill be able to play with my buddies. The merch was cool. Bought both of the splatfest t-shirts and am waiting for the 35th anniversary running shoes. That mario battle royal game looked cool so ill give it a try. Mario Kart Live is great for kids but I have no interest. Overall the reveals were good but not amazing. Fuck that limited run bullshit though. I hate FOMO as is but Nintendo really shouldn't have to use such tactics to make you buy their products.

the Game and Watch in this case is kinda ok given it's just a really fancy desk clock imo.

I contend that 8-degrees of motion was a software solution to a hardware problem, which was a lack of octagonal restrictor gates on the controllers. Nintendo never should have ditched them in the first place. I'll grant you that the game is beautiful and the levels are pretty cool, but the lack of resolution in the player-character's movement was a step backwards; especially so when you consider that we're talking about a platformer with the name "Mario" on the box. Limiting movement in such a bizarre fashion was to the game's detriment.

Oh boy you’re in for a HELL of a time if you want those. Every sneaker sniper ON THE PLANET is going to try to get those and scalp the shit out of ‘em, even more so than 3D All-Stars and the Game & Watch.

Dynasty Warrior type games are like if you gave a sentient computer a description of a video game and this is what they would shit out.

Spend 10 minutes fighting endless trash until boss shows up, defeat boss, repeat for 90-180 missions.

you can read the comments about how everyone is excited for a story and not the actual gameplay.
 
Ah yes, another contender for a game that causes your fan to spin to 100% 24/7. Or overclock the shit out of your Switch just to break past 30fps.
