Well, there goes the Friday Direct rumor I suppose.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=PXd3Jw4DoNQ
Thank god there wasn't anything as lengthy as the massive WWE ad aside from just dance. though weirdly the most interesting game to me was the rocky game, looks pretty fun. glad Saga is getting a collection as well
It was more consistent for sure than the last partner direct but it felt abit safe compared to, say the last ones one two punch of nocturne HD and SMTV
Makes me hope if they do a third one it will actually take the aspects of both to refine the format of the third party showcase, after all it took directs themselves a while to get rolling originally as well. Something similar happened with the indie showcase and the last two of those I would argue showed off some really inventive games I wouldn't have known about otherwise.

What do Nintendo fans think about the Pikmin coming to the Switch?
I heard Pikmin 3 is getting remastered.

Who does Twitter even want?
The ultimate irony is, from my experience, the ones who complain about sexualized females in Smash also seem to support Shantae the most. As if Shantae is somehow not fetish material, but Bayonetta and Pyra are.

I can see Mario as well since it has been rumored for awhile. Nintendo has also been dropping random images of very beach styled Marios with Sunshine references. Add in that it is Mario’s 35th, and I can see remasters being the big new title.

Can they really stop with it?
From what I've seen, Twitter is in favor of another Mario rep like Waluigi or Geno.

That's big if true, I like that they're focusing on Sunshine. Nintendo loves using Sunshine's setting, they use a lot of Isle Delfino characters and locations in spinoff games. Maybe it's time for a real revisit.

I’ve mostly seen positive reactions since it looks like they are adding some additional content. Don’t know how substantive these new features will be. I really, really think that Nintendo should have included the first two games with it, but they are sadly not very generous when it comes to that kind of thing. Donkey Kong Country Returns really should have been included on that Tropical Freeze reissue, for instance. Especially with a $60 price tag.

Nintendo is extremely allergic to game packs. Mostly because they know they can get away with repackaging a singular old game with a slightly updated coat of paint and charging full retail price for it and still make millions.

I think the last major 1st party release in memory that was a multi-game pack was the Prime Trilogy. And with Nintendo apparently becoming the richest company in Japan as of this year, well, they have zero incentive to ever do something like that again anytime soon.

Hmm, they had NES remix 1 and 2, the physical version of new Mario and Luigi U, the Mario and Kirby compilations on Wii, plus Mario Party Top 100 on 3DS. And NSO having a bunch of NES and SNES games.

Another direct, another nintendie tantrum. Entitled children.

You can see the tantrum live on reddit as well.

Most of those are pretty shit as far as compilations go. NES Remix didn't contain the full games. Also the Nintendo Switch online games are shit you don't actually own.

In contrast SNK has released more NES games in compilations than Nintendo has. Sega has numerous greatest hits of sega genesis compilations. Really the only worthwhile nintendo compilations are the following: Mario All Stars (the Wii collection is just the SNES Rom of All Stars so it's the same game), Wii Kirby Compilation, Zelda Anthology, NES Classic and SNES Classic. I'm a pretty avid collector of classic game compilations and Nintendo is somehow still the worst at doing them. When Data East starts to exceed you in quality and quantity it shows just how much you're slacking.

The Upcoming Saga Collection is apparently getting a physical release down the line just like Collection of Mana, Final Fantasy 7 and 8, Dragon Quest Trilogy, and Grandia Collection HD.

Warms my heart when salty Nintendo fanboys get disappointed on another rumor Nintendo Direct.

These people have no one to blame but themselves. They believe in fake rumors and (((leakers))) that causes them to hype themselves into oblivion only for them to get BTFO by Nintendo.

Why are they even angry about Nintendo having Directs for their third party games aka what Nintendo actually needs for the Switch to try and learn from Wii U's mistakes? It's not as if they have to buy them, they can choose not to. It's also not as if these third party games would make these first party games to disappear.

I fail to see the mindset going on. They definitely still have some games they haven't even played/finished, so why not take the time to beat them while waiting for the games they wanted?

Not to mention, the Xbox One has more N64 games than the Switch

I emulated and played mario 64 once. I never have a n64 and the only way to get it is buying an used one in an pawn shop
Why they're screaming? Fully back enginering a defunct game is perfect for research and doing decent hack

They're a special brand of retard that wants to protect an international multimedia company's intellectual property rights like a father protecting his daughter's chastity.

I'm assuming that they hated this episode because it was initially rhythm games in that Direct, along with an Final Fantasy archive. Not that it's an bad thing; it's just looks like they were expecting something better.

I dunno if people posted this but man this guy is pissed

Also found this little gold nugget
