Gone one r/mario they still salivated at the potential existence of mario all star 3D

so far the only thing officially related to mario 35th anniversery is the lego set and those controller,

I'm kinda skeptical about it existence first it only rumor and nothing official b) it a massive fanservice so very easy to spread and believe it blindly.
Also it start to get very annoying request mainly if you already have all the game and want new experience rather than the same shit with fresh coat of paint.
Nintendo could just release the same title every year and make just as many even more money than before. This is why stagnating franchise like pokemon can go away with bad graphic in every level, barely any new thing, and no sophisticated story and still be a best seller.
If they aren't entitled crybaby(like every other fanboys) they are the most complacent and boring peep. This is kind of shit that make me lose faith of humanity.

One the bright side if mario all star simply don't exist the scream and tears of all the fanboys will be simply delicious

They beg Nintendo to release an All Stars for the 3D Mario games for them to buy but look for every excuse to dislike a PC port of a game that's over 20 years old.

what pc game
A group of people had decompiled Mario 64 in 2019 and this year someone made a program that allows you build an unofficial PC port of the game.
You can apply some patches to the game that allow for things like 60fps or analog camera control.

Here is the tool to build it: https://sm64pc.info/sm64pcbuilder2/

There's also a Switch branch that has the 60fps and analog camera built in, on top of using a higher detailed Mario model, among other things.

I emulated and played mario 64 once. I never have a n64 and the only way to get it is buying an used one in an pawn shop
Why they're screaming? Fully back enginering a defunct game is perfect for research and doing decent hack

The Indie presentation was pretty good today! Far better than I would have expected. As for games I want to try at some point:

I love the DS art style, so I was very interested.

Fantastic art style that is adorable for lack of a better term. It feels like a refined Tumblr style? I mean, it is 100% better, but still. The story also seems very emotional, so I will have to prepare myself for feels.

This title makes me love claymation. It looks fun with a very heartfelt core. The brother better not die though!

My god, what a beauty! I love the art style just like the previously mentioned. It gives me Portal vibes. I am very curious about this little puzzler, and wish it was not so slept on.

I want to play this game, but I might want to aim for PS4. The Switch footage looks very pixelated and the game already had major performance issues, so I am certain the Switch will run terribly. Still, Subnautica looks to be a modern horror classic, and I love the ocean atmosphere.

OT, but yeah Subnautica is pretty fucking good. I got the game through my Pirate Before You Buy It program and it's the first game I didn't kick around for a few days before buying it, having made the decision to buy it after only 2 hours of play. Granted I love the game because I'm a building sperg and also because the prospect of being out in the deep with predators that can rip me apart like Boogie2988 at a buffet legitimately terrifies me to the point where I won't go into the actual ocean without a chainmail dive suit and a Wasp Injection Knife. It's very thrilling. And the game is goddamn beautiful even on some of the lower graphic settings, absolutely gorgeous at full graphics, and there are mods out there that make it look even better.

10/10, definitely recommend.

Having said that, the Switch version is probably gonna have to sacrifice a lot of the graphical quality to run. It'd still be pretty neat to play it on the go, tho.

The comments on the first video are making me feel ancient. Old school DS 3D graphics? DS is old school now?

I am afraid so. What really didn't age well was the earlier games that forced Gimmicky touch controls that didn't need it like Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow drawing a seal on the boss or else you have to fight the boss again or GTA Chinatown Wars with having to do a touch pad mini game to start a car.

Have you actually ever gotten to the end of the game where you launch the rocket and send off the time capsule? I thought that was pretty cool and well thought out for ending the game.

I like that they bothered to make the single player campaign worthwhile, I was afraid that they were going to make it like Ark and just have every form of play be a pain in the ass. It makes me wish that more people were into diving games because there's a ton of untapped potential. You could probably make an entire genre full of nothing but Ecologist games where you go around cataloging animals in different types of environments, that would at least get rid of or give competition to the MUH STORY walking simulators that always feel the need to make a retarded political statement.

It unfortunetly became abundantly clear that first person puzzle games like Talos Principle and Obduction are vastly unpopular with the walking sim crowd because they hate puzzles.

I'm puzzled as to why the walking sim crowd doesn't just look up guides.

because they hate puzzles.

Thinking is hard

Still from that bunch Spiritfarer looks like something i would play just for my feelings to be wrecked, Manifold garden looks like a more trippy talos principle, takeshi & hiroshi like someone said here better not be the japanese version of Brothers a tale of two sons

DS is old school now?

was released in 2004, so there is a generation that was not even born when it was released

I forgot to mention..
This title looks neat. It sort of has that Adventure Time aesthetic. Might try it if I have the time.

Thinking about buying a PAL PS2 for EverBlue, anyone know if it is good? I want to see how Endless Ocean started and since I have had my eyes on The Gregory Horror Show game, now is as perfect time as any to try some out of region PS2 classics.

Also, I agree. We need more Ecology games

The Wii is also seen as old school now. Welcome to the old man club.

Can we include Nintendo theory channels in this tread? Cause anytime I look up something related to Zelda on Youtube, I get about a million recommendations for Zelda theory channels and everyone I've ever looked at has always been really fucking dumb.

In the same kind of vein, I've just stumbled across this dude Swankybox. I guess he is more of a "mystery" channel? But it's like all of the mysteries are stupid as fuck shit he pulls out of his ass.

The Mystery of the Castle Plexus (Super Mario 64 Iceberg)

He brings up some Wario Ghost and an Adaptive AI thing I think was from some creepypasta that came out a few months ago, but he doesn't mention they're from a creepy pasta and seems to treat them as real like a fucking retard. And he's trying to make it seem like the castle is some spooky thing because the interior doesn't match the exterior? I think I saw some OoT video he did like a year ago and if I'm remembering right I got annoyed with it because he kept referencing his own made up shit like I should know about it.

Anyways, it kind of annoys me cause I actually do like looking at the mysteries behind game development, but every time it seems to be something Zelda or Mario related more often than not the video ends up focusing more on stupid made up bullshit for it to work in lore instead of technical or behind the scenes development reasons.

realMyst Masterpiece Edition for the Switch included a rather sizable guide both in digital and in physical paper format. it's the only Switch Instruction manual of it's dimensions and size, even larger than DOS2's instructions for the switch.
hell, scratch that, why do so many "gaymers" have issues with games for miniscule reasons. I keep seeing criticism about Nintendo's lack of lgbt stuff and I'm wondering if anyone realizes that we're got getting Wapeach with a stash and adams apple.

Speaking of being trans in a Nintendo game, we have this gem.
